Anyone know how to re-enable this after clicking it off?
My raid leader is going to be sad about this. He wanted to get Arthas down before the "pity buffs" rolled out. At the very least, downing Lana'thel would have been nice. I'm sure we'll be raiding without the buffs, but there's no way to prove it, so it does cast a bit of a shadow over guild progression from this point forward, but that's only if you're looking for bragging rights. And let's face it, if you're aren't within the world/server first 10 or so, you've pretty much given up on bragging rights.Flippy, and anyone else who is mad about seeing "noobs" in the gear you worked hard for: I'm sorry, but the game isn't about you. Your gear was unique and elite when you earned it; that doesn't mean it'll be that way forever. I don't care that the Tier 9 gear I was hungering for and raiding TOC/Ony every week for is now available via Heroics; in fact, I like it. I've taken advantage of that fact when gearing up my mage, who is now my raiding main. I like that I can invite a friend to WoW, and have them raiding alongside me within a month or so. These are good things. Furthermore, this idea that non-raiders are going to be running around in full Icecrown raiding gear laughing at you is ridiculous. The most a person can get without any raiding is 14 frost a week, and that's if they're doing heroics 7 days a week, waiting in 20 minute DPS queues. Assuming they manage to PUG the weekly, you can bump that up to 19, but casual PUGs are likely to be stymied by Marrowgar - hell, I've seen PUGs fail on Ignis. So realistically, a non-raiding casual is looking at 14 frost a week (if you can call a 7-days-a-week WoW habit "casual"). The cheapest Tier gear is 60 frost for gloves/shoulders. That's 120 frost, or more than two months worth of work, just to get a two-piece set bonus. To get their 4-piece bonus, they'd need another 190 Frost, which would take them another 3+ months to gather doing Heroics. Overall, we're looking at over 5 months (probably closer to 6) of playing 7 days a week for these "casuals" to get "your" gear. Though if you think about it, they're probably putting more time into the game than you are, and getting the same gear.Frankly, anyone willing to play 7 days a week for 5+ months to build a set cannot really be considered "casual", and with the kind of gear/skill they'd have accrued they could/should be raiding anyway. It's nearly impossible for them to be playing that much and not know their class.By the way, even if they managed to do the weekly raid every week it would take them over four months to get a 4-piece set bonus, and they'd be playing about as much (or more) WoW as your average "casual raider" (7 days a week worth of dailies, plus a weekly raid).
Yep, make Kingslayer 30% easier to get.GG, Blizz.
I'm going to do my best to make sure my 10 man doesn't use this, I'm pretty sure no one will want to; we enjoy the challenge. I'm not complaining though, 30% buff or not, it's not going to keep people out of the fire. What I really like are the people who complain about how easy PvE is getting w/o having accomplished hard modes or even most of ICC. If anything, it looks like while "catering to casuals," its players from that base that get grumpy, not those who are actually at the top of progression.
Cataclysm: So easy a caveman can do it
It's only 5% right now, Not 30%... that's going to occur over the next few weeks, Please Please PLEASE read the entire article before the QQ'ing starts, jesu christo.
Ummmmmm maybe its me but i thought that the whole point of adding new content was that is was suppose to be hard and challenging
whether i have done it or not is completely a moot point, regardless of me doing it or not doing it doesnt change the fact that new end game content is suppose to be challenging its the natural progression of the game comparable to blizz releasing Cataclysm and a month later going meh this is a lil too hard lets nerf it a bit its kinda pointless, but getting to the orignal question no i havent ran it yet i dont have enough people in my guild that are geared enough to run it and i wont just run it with random people. all i have ran is the ICC 5-Mans
