So where do we post our tactics?Wildhorn-Daggerspine:- Stay grouped. Many > Alone.- Kill healers first. No point to waste time trying to kill flag carrier when he get healed to full hp.- Farm the bottom of the graveyard / entrance of the tunnel of the opposite team to have control of the game.- Getting your flag back is more important than carrying their flag. Do not stop pursuing opposing team flag carrier to follow your. Worst tactical choice you can make.
Kashmir - RavenholdtIt's never a good idea to freelance out in the field when your team is trying to take down a FC or is trying to bring their FC home to base. Topping the damage output column should never be a primary goal!
Ninjasofii-SilvermoonRunning the flag as protection in tanking gear. If I have a healer with me, it's even easier.
With a Priest (alliance), run alll the way to the right, after jumping off where the GY is, and run to the place you can jump off from into the flag room, shield+renew=win.
I would say:Keep in at least an group of 5. Get some healers and an shammy or an rogue (Or an engineer with rocket boots) to carrie the flag. And the others should keep up. Stun/morph/flee as most members as possible. Cause they taking the flag is what counts. Some DPS to hold the enemy in action dosnt hurt either...But great that WSG are maby getting some action again =)
Get a healer/dps team, go to the left of your base while leaving, and kill every horde there
So... Blizz wants us to provide content for the magazine, information that is readily and freely given and made available by many fine posters on these forums, and then charge people for it?Okay.
Immolate - Ravenholdt (US)First, some Warlock specific tips!- Put your summoning portal on the upper level of the enemy's base, jump down, grab the flag, and port back up for maximum ninja ownage- Find a disc priest and make love to them. Then, get them to heal you in WSG. Trust me, its worth the pain!- When carrying/escorting the flag, spam Curse of Exhaustion, Howl of Terror, and Shadowflame (if you use the glyph) -Pair up your DoTs and squeeze two in on one global cooldown. Example; cast Unstable Affliction and near the end of the cast, quickly smash your Corruption button. Do the same thing with Haunt/Curse of Agony. Now applying DoTs takes half he time.-Always put Unstable Affliction up first! If your other DoTs get dispelled, you wasted your time. If UA gets dispelled, they get damaged for 2-3k.Heres some more general WSG tips!- Que up in groups if you can. At the very least try to make friends with a healer that loves WSG and stick with them.- Make your best attempt at trying to organize a strategy in a PuG. Determine who should attack and who should defend.- ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS focus the enemy healers! If you are a priest/lock, mana burn them till they OOM.- Use the alternate entrances to the enemy bases such as the roof or upper level.- Travel in groups because odds are, the enemy is.- If you aren't carrying the flag, you should be assisting whoever is. HKs don't yeild enough honor to justify farming them.- Use the speed buffs/healing buffs/attack power buffs laying around the BG before the enemy does. Even if you don't need it, it is better for neither of you to have the advantage when it is needed than the enemy to have it.Hope this guys helps you out! Immolate - Ravenholdt (US)
Corynne of Frostwhisper says:
If a flag carrier is about to die, spam-click the area where the flag will appear to pick it up faster. Report flag carrier movements in /bg. A quick "efc ramp" lets your teammates know where they should go to kill the bastard.Yavene - Sporeggar
Everyone here is either giving terrible or obvious ideas. People know that being alone is stupid, and other basic things like that. Does no one here know any advanced things? Just to poke at Blizzard I'll say this.-There are spots in warsong gultch that can be jumped up. (You know those invisible ledges?), if you find one you can usually get high places, for example you can jump up both the grave yards.
dsgsddshsthe best defense is a good offense
Servenia-Stormscaledont forget about your cooldowns, they can really turn the tide of a battle.remember while pve is about damage over long periods of time pvp is about killing your opponents quickly
Step 1. Get a prot paladin/warrior.Step 2. Get a resto druid/disc priest.Step 3. ?Step 4. Profit! Now seriously. When defending, have a ranged class sit on the roof and rain death and destruction from above.Therval, Frsotmane Eu.
Basmoir-GarroshStay away from large groups
Here's one tip I think is important:Like in chess, the more of the field you control, the more you can restrict (and so predict) the enemy team's movements. In WSG if you can control your base and mid-field, and keep them cooped up inside of their graveyard, there's hardly any room for you to lose.-Pootz Frostmane USEdited to add in a cute pun
