The healing and damage reduction debuff is their way of combating burst. I'm sure MS and wound poison effects will still add a 50% reduction to healing after the 30% debuff has been applied. It won't change much about arena besides making the fights last longer due to it being harder to kill and heal to full quickly.
Except that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. As a caster you kite and avoid melee damage, this won't do a thing to casters who know how to play besides removing our ability to out damage certain survivability cooldowns of melee and healers.
How does that not make sense? Yes, as a caster you kite to avoid melee damage if you know what you're doing. That's the point of the debuff. They want players to rely on skills instead of trying to burst the other team down before they do the same to you. They want to lengthen the games to promote strategy and skillful thinking, whereas right now the games tend to rely more on who can damage and heal more than the other team.
if bliz makes dmg and healing from spells get -30% thats total bullcrap, clothies get 2 shotted all the time by melee classes and if bliz doesn't want them to have a bunch of dmg and healing then dont give us all the chances to do 12 +23 spell power gems and major spell power enchants...
I dont really like arenas that much if you ask me they should make everything be bought by Honor points
All of this seems cool. 1 question although , will relentless weapon still be purchasable or will it be removed and the only pvp weps will be s8 ones?
They will remove the old season and put the new season weapons in the vendors. try read the thread before asking :) they have asked about this 1-2 times before you did.Simply put: in with the new, out with the old.
Furious on Honor!I've been saving Arena Points for this and now moves to Honor Sysem?Anyway,gonna spend them to Relentless.
This will make fights longer,I'm playing priest and i'm always being outlasted by druid/shaman/holy paladin,with this i'm gonna lose every arena on mana,only way is not to dispel anything...but then priest isn't priest without dispells...you should put mana reduce 30 % if you are going to do this!

Make Armors with more brain to balance somethings a bit then, like Plate is "plate" so have more AR and have more "Sta" bonus some how .. why? Cus of Cloth is "cloth" having under zero AR and less "Sta" ?... Why All Armor Sets Do Not Having Same "Sta" on them ?Thats a little example only, the guy who making the armors should think about it first.. Caus the most of us are pvp players and know what classes / balances depends myb the debuff (-30% healing and dmg) isnt such an bad idea.But as i remember there was such an anoying fight long ago (hunter surv vs resto drood) and i critted him 1,2 k with explosive also with reduced armor etc.. etc.In other case, if you meet an warrior + rogue and this debuff of 30% healing, it will be easy work for the dps classes caus the resto / holy etc would have more then 80% reduced healing and really much problems to heal themself or theyr partner.Isnt there any way to get the balance per some spells / ability debuffs?i think, the way its gonna work out is that it will initially reduce healing/damage by 30% and then next healing/dmg debuff will decrease healing done with debuff ( confusing huh? :D )i.e. lets say you can heal 1 000 hp with one heal (hypotheticly). with debuff you will heal 30% less, so just 700 right? and with another 50% reduced healing debuff, ONLY from that 700. so you will heal just 350.so, when heal lands, you will heal for 350, what is only ( :D ) 65% decrease with both debuffs (compared to 50+30=80%)//corrected for typos and more explanation
Well yeah,I'm pretty sure relentless will be purchaseable with emblem of frost,since the triumph ones are currency for the furious gladiator set.And no you were never able to buy the current season gear with any kind of emblems.
