Meh I hoped that thesse would be aquired in game atleast:/
Lil' KT! <3Kung Fu Panda ftw. That's gonna be popular.
So WoW is going to have a store like a free to play game, but we still have to pay to play. Awesome.
And now we can all sit back and watch the nerd rage about how Blizzard is just a money grubbing greedy corporation fill the official forums.Personally, I think they're a great idea. I especially like that they're donating to charity as part of this.
Anyone know if you need a credit card to pay for these?
To those we may think that Blizzard is a just a greedy corporation, look at what they did for this boy. http://www.wow.com/2007/05/22/blizzard-and-make-a-wish-bringing-wow-to-life/. I will eventually buy the Pandaren Monk so my money goes to charity.Rest In Peace Ezra.
Ah, so this is Activision-Blizzard's "All hands on deck" strategy to deal with China's sinking ship. I doubt selling a virtual pet for $10 a pop will make up for that, but we'll have to see. I'm guessing we'll see a purchasable Frostwyrm mount soon too. (This means any new pet/mount models added in this and future PTRs will need to be scrutinized to see if you can actually obtain it for free.)
Lil' KT... s-so... so ADORABLE! It... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH it hypnotizes me with the adorableosity! Perhaps when Kel'thuzad said, with his coin, that he wanted a hug... perhaps this is how he meant for it to be recieved T_TEdit: Is this what he meant when he said "I will return with power beyond your imagining!"?
In a few months.
Its the start of a long slippery slope, adimittedly 50% goes to the charity, surely the other 50% isnt required for implementing/running costs which im guessing could be covered by Blizzard as a way for them to seem even more charitable but yeah, as I said, its the start of a slippery slope.
I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, giving money to charity is a good thing. The pets are adorable and I do love pets... On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the "pay real money to get in game stuff," model. Even if they say it's just going to be cosmetic items, I can't help but wonder if we're starting down a slippery slope.Edit: What's with people saying the same thing I do two minutes before me today? Get out of my head!
I don't get the fuss about this. People are already shelling over small fortunes on eBay for extremely rare pets (Bananas, Dragon Kite, Etheral Soul-Trader, etc.) and mounts (spectral tiger, need I say more?), this is just a way for Blizzard to maybe curtail people spending too much money, as well as letting some of the money go to charity.
So there are people who think this is bad?Pocket Sized Nuclear Bombs are starting to sound better by the day.
The Make A Wish Foundation rocks! They granted my wish when I was eight years old, because of my extremely rare heart condition.http://rawr.mp/albums/4833/photos/1346933 ^^. That is one of the photos. They sent me to meet President Bill Clinton. ^^. I for sure will buy one, just because it supports the Wish foundation!Guys! The Make A Wish Foundation grants wishes to children to enrich the human life with hope and strength before the inevitable. I was lucky enough to survive to adulthood. Many that go through the Wish Foundation isn't. The wish is usually granted a year or two before the child's death. Help them out! Let the child live a dream before they leave this world.
