So when can druids stealth in bear form?
just as soon as we get to turn clearish blue.
Grizzly Hills is gonna be a warzone once 3.3 hits. All those BM hunters that will be looking for this pet including myself.
Do believe I called this.
Why Grizzly Hills why?Should've been a Spirit Beast in Icecrown...Edit: Wrong zone lol.
Arcturis...Mengsk?Starcraft crossover reference, anyone?
nERVEcenter, that is probably why:
Cool.. I'm going to go ahead and guess this would be the only ferocity bear?
Rather lame spirit beast if you ask me.
I would have to disagree with assumption that the reference is only to Arcturus Mengsk. Arcturus (Alpha Bootes) is a star in the vicinity of Ursa Minor (and Major). In Greek mythology Zeus placed the star there as additional protection (from Hera, Zeus' Wife) for Callisto who he had transformed into a bear (Arctos) and then later transformed into the constellation Ursa Minor when their son, Arcas (who was conceived when Zeus raped Callisto), thought Callisto's bear form was attacking him. Since the etymology of the name Arcturis relates to bear and the bear being a spirit beast is transparent similar to when you draw the constellation bears (Ursa major and minor), I think calling the new spirit bear "bear" or "guardian bear" is too cute, like rolling a priest and naming them Sacerdis (Priest in latin with -dis instead of -dos at the end).
nice one Taheraliel...anyway i found it funny that looking at him from behind (aka watching his a**..s)makes it look like he is looking at you like you were watching him like you were front of him. kinda funny :O
looking forward for spirit TREX or spirit wind serpent
"Hey, what an awesome pet you have! Where did you get it?""I saw it on the internet two months before it was released to the game, so I just went where it was supposed to be and tamed it."
Clan Ghost Bear reference anyone?
You mean its not named after the star Arcturus, which is greek for "Guardian of the Bear", due to its brightness and proximity to both Ursa Minor and Ursa Major then?
Not getting it.I got Loq, I love Loq, but until they come up with a new family of Tenacity pets that has this kind of epic look, I can't replace my bear (or gorilla) with this guy - as much as he looks totally awesome. What would I want 5 Ferocity pets (5 Spirit Beasts, even!) in my stable slots for? I mean, I get the "collector" impulse, believe me. But it's bad enough I have 3 Ferocity, 2 Tenacity, and 0 Cunning right now; I should really lose one of my Ferocity pets and pick up a Cunning.Make that bear a tank!
I love the new models of Spirit Beast pets. It's great that there are cool new "looks" for hunter pets.Loque'nahak will always be my favorite. If it weren't for that pet, my hunter would likely still be level 71 and sitting in Borean Tundra bored out of her troll skull.I think it is ridiculous that regardless of animal family, all the "spirit beast" pets have 100% the same abilities. The bear spirit beast should not do the same thing as the 2 cat spirit beasts, which should have different abilities from the canine spirit beast. On the other hand... I don't doubt there will be some hunters out there going "ZOMG! Mah bare can haz prowl! ROFLPWNZORBBQ!">.<
