Spleggenblorf. This is the sound of a Druid tank being hammered into oblivion.Something seems similar to Sunwell Radiance...This will seriously put a damper on Death Knight threat creation, too. Less dodge = less Runic Strike.
It's not that big of a deal, especially if they lower overall damage output to compensate. The goal is to significantly reduce damage spikes - not to eliminate the possibility of Druids or DKs from tanking.

I was no where near Sunwell when it went live so I couldn't experience it first hand. What does this mean for tanks? How did Sunwell tanks gear themselves to counter the debuff? Just stack more EH?
GC says that it will make take damage less spikey... let's hope he's right.Tank classes have come a long way since Sunwell; hopefully this won't prevent some tanks from being able to participate in encounters. Druid tanks have more ways to mitigate damage other than dodging now, and they no longer need defense rating, so with any luck we won't see our fluffy bundles of enormous amounts of health and armor go by the wayside.Same with death knights. They have been nerfed as tanks quite a bit as of late, but perhaps we will still see them... like I said before, I'm worried that this will make DK threat creation through Rune Strike go down the drain. A lot of them have a great deal of trouble with single target threat as is.Edit: And... what about the glorious rogue tanks? OH NOES!
DKs are going to get more changes implemented, so the nerf to Rune Strike should be compensated. Same for warrior's Revenge.I still think it's a silly band aid which pretty much says "we screwed up when designing tank gear, and are not sure what to do about it". Icewell Radiance.....woot!
I am missing something. The bosses can kill a tank in a few blows if the blows are not avoided. So, we remove avoidance so the tanks can be killed. Sounds like a win for the bosses. Then, there is something about lowering the effect of the blows from the bosses. Sure hope it all balances out. Maybe, the Catalysm remake will fix everything.By the way, changing a 30% dodge to 10% is not a 20% reduction. That is a 67% reduction.
Time to stack lots of Block :P
I'm sure Blizz won't screw some tank classes out of tanking. I mean, would they?

Every tank pretty much has over 20% dodge without gemming or stacking it. I think this change will hit everyone pretty evenly from an avoidance standpoint.
