This'll be a nice change.
Personally, I love the change. But you can already see the many nerdrage threads that already exist.
i love this change! 1 more reason to farm hc's. Btw, /raises flameshield.I heard that enchanters don't like the change
As an Enchanter, I love this change. I hated feeling like I was obliged to greed and DE all the time. I know it sounds lazy, but sometimes you just want everyone to greed -- you don't want to be pressing that DE button five or six times, then splitting up the shards into individual stacks so that you can trade one to each person.3.3 is looking better and better with every passing day.
It's good for non-Enchanters, or Enchanters who really cba with distributing at the end, but it's bad for Enchanters who need mats.
Eh, I am an enchanter and I don't really mind it. I do want to point out that also they are kicking ninja's in the well... there. Along with all this I read that they are putting restrictions on what you can lot need on. Examples being that a Pally can't lot on anything below plate and Rogues/hunters/warriors can't roll on anything with spell power on it. I am kinda liking that.
I'm all for it. I know there are more mercenary folk out there who are bummed about it, but for me it's just a matter of convenience. I'm always on disenchant duty, and keeping track of materials and then divvying them up is an annoyance. Now the game will take care of it automatically and I can concentrate on the next pull instead.
Yeah, I'm an enchanter, and this is a win. I love the change. Greed still trumps the auto DE, so all is good. It was always annoying to go through my bags at the end of a run, DE what I needed to, separate the crystals/shards from the ones I already had, and then trade them with whoever won the /roll at the end of the run. bleh.I love this change.
As an enchanter, I'll have to wait and see how this works in practice. But it sounds promising. It certainly would have avoided a situation where I had to mail everyone's shards to them...
They changed it so greed = DE. Im dropping enchanting if it ends up going live.
So if I'm in a group, and no one knows I'm an enchanter... will they be able to tell b/c of the extra icon/button? Tbh, who wouldn't take enchanting mats over a couple gold from the vendor for the actual item. Non-enchanters will love this!...but I'm an enchanter.I'm not in a guild and I benefit in no way from DEing loot for a group of random people. If I were so inclined, this system does offer a much better alternative to the old method of sharding at the end, separating stacks into individual items and trading. However, I rely on enchanting for income; selling mats on the AH or selling them to a person looking for an enchant (assuming they don't have the mats already). Sometimes I win 3 or 4 items from an instance, and get to go use my profession to take advantage of this. Sometimes I don't win anything. Plus it's not like people couldn't win all of the shards, so systems where 5 people roll, highest gets Abyss, others get Dream Shards (and everyone is guaranteed something) wouldn't really work. I see no upsaide for enchanters other than those who just don't care about the worth/usefulness of the shards.
ill still probaby instinctively greed everything, %^&*ing off many enchanters
