I've already converted my WoW account to a Battle.net, ofc to get Grunty :)
I have no idea why people see this so negatively. Why wouldn't you merge? Are people just QQing just for fun? Why would someone quit WoW because he/she doesn't want to merge? The conversion is a 2 minute thing to do. (unless you leave it to Nov 12 and the servers are stuck while zillions are trying to convert) It doesn't cost you anything and it doesn't bring any issues with it. Unless you are lazy and you think typing a few more characters to your login screen is a big issue. In my case it also removed the odd "Authenticating..." bug that me and my friends had. Plus you get a penguin!
The day Bnet mergers came out I merged my account, I have had no problems with it ever since. I'm glad I merged to my email. I even got Battle-bot and Grunty, and a Authenticator added too (iPhone FTW!)
Well, I don't like this, but fine, I tried to create a Battle.net account to link it to my WoW account. What happens? Whenever I try to create one, I get a screen with "an error has occurred". Does anybody else have this as well?
I dont see the point in pets tbh. I mean, ok people collect them. But for others they're pointless items. (for me anyway)
Not a problem for me, I merged my account after I was hacked. I'm thinking it was one of my friends screwing with me, but still.
Honestly, if you don't merge your account out of fear of having less security, then spend the money to get an authenticator. It gives an extra level of security to your account and makes it even harder to get through. And even if you won't do that at least get some anti-virus.
Excellent. Perhaps this is a sign of Battle.net 2.0 implementation around the corner.
I just merged my account, I don't know yet the security, but i loved how it took literally less than 2 mins to sign up, free penguin and no more authenticating bug. If your gonna quit over this, just quit now and do us a favor. I've played since launch and I do miss my original WoW account name (nostalgia freak) I do kinda like the battle.net thing
