thats awesome!looking forward to the rest of theese guides, especially when loot is released!
If saronite is named after Yogg-Saron, and this is the Pit of Saron (no "Yogg-"), does that suggest that Saron is a different entity than Yogg-Saron? Or maybe Yogg-Saron was merely part of a larger creature?

Or maybe Yogg-Saron was merely part of a larger creature? If you look at my third screenshot, you will notice a huge pit in the middle. It's full of HUGE saronite chunks. They are just gigantic (twice as high as a character would be, and pretty wide). I guess that's why :)@Arathian, I didn't have the time to wait for one to appear. I will probably go report it in the forums. And there was no loot in the entire place. And now, a few updates:
Forgemaster Garfrost: My group also agroed him as soon as we engaged a skeleton smith. As previously stated, just aoe them down, and focus on him.Scorgelord Tyrannus: He will call out a player, and debuff them which will make any dmg they do heal him. Also, his frostwyrm will cast short frost breaths, that, if they hit you will freeze you and make you unable to perform any actions for the duration. I am not sure if it is removable some other way, but it is not dispellable. I never saw it hit near Tyrannus, so the tank and any melee dps should be safe.
Interesting story, good to hear that it was relatively easy,Is this is an outdoor dungeon where you can mount?
From what I gather, Scourgelord Tyrannus and Rimefang have a few abilities.First, Rimefang:
Is this is an outdoor dungeon where you can mount? The mount screenshot gave it away, didn't it?
Scourgelord Tyrannus has one million health on heroic mode, that kinda surprised me a little bit. But he was easy, which didn't surprise me in the least. Hope they give him a buff before the patch is released =p
tl;drDid he or she mention the skull in the middle that seems to follow your party? I think was a nice touch
Is this is an outdoor dungeon where you can mount? The mount screenshot gave it away, didn't it?I wasn't looking at the SS's, I rarely do...Anyways, to clarify, you can't fly in the instance?
You need to kill krick and ick to fight the rest of them
I always went with Garfrost first and it never seemed to bug. The first time we did it, after killing Ick, Krick dismounted and began a scripted dialogue where he told the party something very interesting, before getting killed by Tyrannus who challenges you to fight him. The second time we did it, it seemed like Krick got killed by his own energy mines... but perhaps the tank killed him or... something? Idk. It's definitely gotta be on a timer though, as we didn't hit it the first time. I wonder if it's like some kind of enrage timer? The tunnel sequence was insanely epic, though... Easily my favorite part of the whole run.also, two notes: 1. No lewt as of Friday. 2. No flying... but that makes sense, as you could just bypass the trash leading to the tunnel of fun.
I was disappointed that Jaina/Sylvanas don't actually do much in this instance. They basically say "Get them!" at the beginning, then "Who're you working for?" in the middle, and "Oh noes! Get behind me!" at the end.Hopefully the FoS and HoR have them do more.
I just have a single little question: What kind of Proto-drakes were they(what color/texture/name). Other than that thanks for all the info :)
To be honest I'm a bit disappointed that with no former knowledge of the bosses you seem to be able to one-shot them. This is a trend which I see all over Wotlk. On my Warrior we one-shot most of Naxx, on my Druid we one-shot most of Toc10 and then I'm not even talking about instances and heroics. I remember a time where you needed to wipe at least once, sometimes several times, to get to know the boss and its tactics (especially in raids, but also to a lesser extent in dungeons and heroics).
The issue you had with phasing, where you could not see the portal, I take it that this is also a bug, and not that people who have done all the Icecrown quests will be locked out of this instance?
