And honestly, I am a bit worried about anyone EVER touching the Sunwell. It seems like whenever Blizzard mentions it, something big, ugly and has horns wants to say hi to Azeroth. Edit by MasterOfDisguise: removed the extremely annoying "First!"But MoD I had to do it just for you!
*Nvm,read that wrong. Or maybe not? Who knows.
/stab Arthas with Quel'Delar in the 5 manCongratulations, you must now run through through the 25 man raid to truly kill him.
King Terenas has a model in the game now.
To clarify:There is a boss drop - the hilt. Then there is the farming of resources needed to infuse saronite (or there will be these dropping in the same instance, its not quite sure yet).Either way, to finish the blade you will have to clear all wings of the IC dungeon (not raid). The sword is designed to kill Arthas, youve problalby already figured that out. But the shadow damage will be actualy done to players - whenever you act like an idiot you will be instantly destroyed. Its something called fatal education or so.
Not to doubt your information, but where are you getting it from? I should like to know stuff ahead of time too...
Meh, I am going to use this blog instead of writing a new one...Apparently the new Weekly Raid Quests (like the Heroic Daily, but for raids) will be given by member(s) of The Six - the ruling council of Dalaran. Possible - by Rhonin himself. Also Lord Marrowgar is one of the Icecrown Raid bosses.
Well, I dont really think this weapon has something about giving Arthas the "Killing Blow". It might have something to do with the new legendery Shadowmourne? Just speculations of course.
Hunter Weapon obviously
I'd put 5g on it being a special item you need to craft to kill The Lich King. A Quest line to take the wielder through the 5-man Dungeon and a few other places makes some sense, as anybody who can do 25-man content can do 5-man content (Not vice versa) and why not. A bit of Lore isn't a bad thing and it'll add too the epicness of th efight. My only concern is there will be enforced waiting points, caused by raid lockout periods, creating artificial progress barriers.nb: it could also have something to do with an algalon style super seecret boss after The Lich King is dead.
I think there is good reason to believe that there will only be 3 content patches in wrath (quotes form blizz etc.) but the timing seems all wrong, if 3.3 hits before the holidays that leaves cataclysm hitting just before the summer lull. Does anybody else think this sword wreaks of some sort of surprise, man behind the curtain boss that will be released in another (4th) content patch? Maybe not but this seems like the setup for something 2.4ish. We shall see I suppose.
Cool, another long anti climatic icecrown quest chain to take up space in my quest log while it sits idle with the '5 man group' moniker. Can't wait..
