Thank you so much for the response. Yeah the DeathAdder cord is very thin and i think adds to the "lightness," the result of your G5 cord would drove me nuts! Not to be a "fan boy" but while doing FPS' I really loved my light DeathAdder combined with the slower Mantis "Control," which appears to be the Goliathus "Control" now. Do you have any experience with either of these cloth pads and how comparable is it to the Megasoma? I love the control of the cloth but keeping it clean is a pain.I haven't been able to try the Goliathus, but I do want to point out that the Megasoma isn't a cloth weave mat, it's a textured silicone. I've always primarily used hard mat surfaces (the Razer Destructor and fUnc Surface1030) and they get stupid dirty because I am a gross 20-something-year-old who eats at her desk. I want to point out that I took that G5 picture earlier today, and I've been using this mousepad for almost 2 months - it stays perfectly clean. I can imagine it'd be ridiculously easy to keep clean, too, as silicone is easy for that. It still feels comfortable to move, and I've not noticed any extremely significant difference compared to the hard pads. The positive, for me, is that by not being a hard pad it's not fraying my mouse cord anymore (that's what caused the damage)!what no left handed design? /cry /screams at left hand and right brain :(Seriously. You'd think that with all the money that goes into developing and marketing a product like this, increasing your potential customer base by 10-15% would be worth making a couple mirrored injection molds. To be fair Razer have some of the best ambidextrous mice on the market. If the demand increases, maybe they'll consider a left-handed model - only time will tell. I'm sure they have to see whether or not the right-handed version does well, first. ;)
I'm very interested in the Razer Naga, the crazy amount of buttons suits my key-mapping junkie style (I could always use more buttons). What I really want is a right-handed mouse version of the Belkin n52, but this is as close as you can get. That said, I don't buy new gaming peripherals until I've tried them in store. Unfortunately my local Best Buy in NorCal doesn't have it yet. Does anyone know when Best Buy will carry?
Nice to hear that's it fits nicely in your hand, However, with all those "tiny" buttons on the side, wouldn't it be extremely difficult to hit the appropriate key that's bound to whichever spell you want to cast.I'm a Mage, and I'm gonna use 14 of those bad boyzzz key bindings for alllllll my mage portals! NOOB MOVE FTW~~~~
... two words ... Holy crap! SEVENTEEN buttons on a mouse! *throws away my crappy G5(Yeah, I happen to have one too, lol, but mine's loaded to only 14g)) and orders a Naga online* No more button clicking for me in PvP or keyboard binding, now I can finally focus on using my left-hand fingers for the much more important thing, to move around.P.S. If anyone here happens to be planning to buy a Logitech mouse, be careful of the wires, they suck!
I've read as many reviews as I could find. This mouse seems like the greatest thing since coozies (the foam things that keep your cans cold)... just for serious WoW players. I'm really interested, but I'd like to know more about the software. I had read that the "numpad" like buttons on the side are unable to be customly remapped. If that's true, I will keep my DeathAdder for now. I definitely like the freedom of complete customization that the DeathAdder software has. So, seeing that you've used the DeathAdder... can you confirm or deny this lack of customization please? I'd really like to own this mouse but my Adder is just, agh... so good.Edit: Also, Razer... if you're listening. If you ever make an MMO keyboard please include a scroll wheel. I love remapping my scroll wheel Up/Down to hotkeys, and using the scroll wheel on my Logitech keyboard for the camera in WoW and item switching etc. in other games. (The new Logitech boards have no scroll wheel, so it's really up to you to keep this feature alive.) (As far as positioning? Right under the space-bar horizontally.)
I'm a little confused about the buttons on it. You use them as 1-9 on your keyboard, so pressing 1 on your keyboard and 1 on the mouse grid do the same thing? Is there a way to make them control different hotkeys? It would be nice to have my normal hotkeys like q,w,e,r,t,1-5 and then use the mouse buttons to eliminate all my shift-key modified hotkeys.Theres a lil switch at the bottom of the mouse to toggle between using the 123 keys or the numpad keys. That means if you still wanna use ur 1-9, flick the switch to numpad mode and the buttons on the mouse will correspond to that of your numpad on ur keyboard :) That way you get a whole lot of keys at ur fingertips .. its ingenius and i love it!The numpad keys are different than row 1-9 numbers for hotkey purposes? Sounds pretty cool.
Is it bad that I use the built-in laptop mouse ... for all of my games?Fear 2, Prototype, WoW. >.>
I was wondering if anyone would use this with Razor's n52te?I used the n52te and it has really upped my response time in WoW. I love it and would like to try the Naga, but don't want to get rid of the 52 in favor of the Naga.Just curious what it would be like to use both! :)Naga = 17 buttonsn52te = 18 buttons x 3 modes
I am using a Logitech G15 keyboard and a MX510 mouse. The mouse rides an antique Allsop mouse pad I have had since '98. Yes, I was online gaming, when online gaming wasn't cool
The cartoon naga has really nice cleavage.
I was having issues where I would take my hand off the mouse and the cursor would start navigating up, and it was messing with my aim to constantly have to be trying to force the mouse in place. If your mouse cable is being a drag, then get an Armadillo.http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-accessories/razer-armadillo
I use hotkeys like a maven but since miyori is a fellow female gamer and I know this mouse isn't huge (like some gamer mice are) I'll enter the contest. If it is still too big I'll give it to my bf.Also for those who don't know, this retails for about $80. So if you win, grats.GL all.And P.S. I still use a crappy logitech non gamer mouse. there were a few times i wanted to throw it out due to misclicking but eh. I try to exercise karma and not break things and all that jazz
How much does it retail for? Just in case those of us unlucky games don't win one?
Got this mouse yesterday. Wife surprised me with it. I came from a very awkward Logitech POS $30 mouse. It's blue glow fits my G15 keyboard's orange keys and together, tanking, PvP and solid DPS has become so much easier. Not trying to add to this post, but with any seasoned mouse user, it shouldn't be a problem to learn this thing in just a few short PvP sessions. My only beef is the incompatibility with Bartender 4. Other than that, the addons are quite flawless. Had to get rid of my SpartanUI along with Bartender, but it makes this mouse so powerful. I often hold my 22mo old daughter when I play, which means I can actually raid with one hand while I tickle her, hehe. If you're willing to spend money on this kind of stuff, do it. It won't disappoint.
My only beef is the incompatibility with Bartender 4.I had the same issue. But, unless I am mistaking identities, I discovered that the Razer Naga ingame addon is apparently coded by the same addon developer responsible for Bongos2, which is what I used prior to Bartender and loved - so I'm willing to give it a chance! :)
Doesn't look that great to me. The buttons are too many too small, and 15 tiny buttons right in the same place? . Unless you got a needlethumb , i think you will have a hard time clicking those clustered buttons. I use the Wow mmorpg mouse (which ain't all glory either, had some build issues) but it works pretty good and thebuttons are not layed out like a tiny keyboard on your mouse. Milage vary ofcourse..:D Would have to try it to give a final go or no thou...
Is this anything like that other mouse (I think Steelseries made it) in that it types crap into the chatbox to preform macros, and was therefore pretty useless in that regard?

Very easy to feel the difference in buttons, although I have to say that the 3 button is a bit awkward to reach, but far from impossible. I just don't use 3 for anything important, is all!
I play with a trackpad... =[
