Can I go ahead and assume that this is another US-only thing?
Can I go ahead and assume that this is another US-only thing?I am going with this line of thinkings.
but we're friends with the guys over at iZ3D are friends of ours=D
I can't show you a picture of a 3D monitor and have it make any sense, because you're seeing it on your regular 2D monitor. This has always bothered me. Nothing against 3D or anything but... When I see a commercial on TV telling me how great the HD picture quality is on the new Vizio or whatever TV they're trying to sell me... That's great, but I'm using a Zenith TV from the mid 80's soo... As far as my TV is concerned, HD doesn't exist. My father tells me it was even more awkward during the time of the transition from black and white to color. On topic though, awesome opportunity.
The guys at Project Lore use these monitors. If you watch the first set of episodes they advertise them around half way through the videos :)
Hey, what's up with the shades... :DI am afraid my PC is not good enough to meet their standards though... :(
Can I go ahead and assume that this is another US-only thing?Yes...this is a US only thing.
I didnt find an obvious US-Only disclaimer, so I signed up. ;o
Signed up, even though i'm EU. I'm really interested in this. :>
I've messed around with one of these 3D monitors at a LAN a few years back. It's interesting. I wasn't playing WoW at the time and the 3D monitor wasn't going to do crap for my AWP shot so I didn't pay much attention to it.Many people at the LAN were pumped up about it. Adds a little flair to the game that's for sure.
I had the opportunity to check one of these out at BlizzCon. Granted, I only got to see someone running around Dalaran in it (no actual fighting), but it was pretty awesome. I, for one, would love to get some actual game time on one of these babies.
* To qualify, you must live in the USA. Do you? <--- Second question on the survey.Just so you would all know :)
Can you please let your friends at iZ3D know that Mac users don't have dxdiag. I attached a text file indicating the same to the application. It seems like they are missing out on their target market (people who have money to spend on top of the line stuff)

Can you please let your friends at iZ3D know that Mac users don't have dxdiag. I attached a text file indicating the same to the application. It seems like they are missing out on their target market (people who have money to spend on top of the line stuff)How many people who play WoW on macs are actively looking to purchase a monitor to augment their iMac (Built in monitor) or macbook/macbook pro (again built in screen).I'll bet you its few to none. Theyre looking to target high end gaming pcs. Last time I checked unless you have a hardcore mac pro an iMac or a Macbook pro hardly count as a gaming machine and purchasing a high end monitor for it would be a waste anyway.
So, hey... I was chosen believe it or not. I'm very, very excited to test out the technology and plan on running dungeons as much as I humanly can.Woot!
Same here. Might be a further thing down the road, though. We'll see. I wanna play on a 3D monitor =DEDIT: I'm pretty sure that the first response is to check if your stats are good for the monitor, and the second's to check if you filled out the right things on your first thing.
I have a 3D monitor Zalman 22" At first it was so cool.... look at all that stuff comming out of the screen.... WoW realy looks great on a 3D monitor.... but after a few minutes... like 10! your eyes start to melt.... you start crying like a baby and you turn it off..... not worth the money they cost.... this is just my 2 cents. After you test them, please put here your report.... tell us how it went.
Yeah...I was wondering what the ultra-heavy package tracking was about..."I am sending this to you all to let you know, that the monitors are on their way to your house, some may even get them today. What I will do is look at the tracking numbers and when I see they have gotten there I will start your 2 week timer, once the timer is up I will be sending you more info. The Word doc attached is some info that will help you once you get the iZ3D, please read it, if you cannot open the file there will be one in the box so you can read that one. Again I think you for your help and enjoy your 3D world ahead."Wewt?
I saw one at a local electronics store.Maybe the setup was bad or it was an older model, but I can't imagine using one of these. Reminded me of 3-D from the era of JAWS 3-D, not the uber 3-D we have today.
