Well i quit wow 2 months after i got full t7/t7.5 when i realized ulduar came out i just laid back and let people pass me in gear i couldn't care less. but the instant i saw this new and improved wow hit the forums i instantly knew that i was gonna make a new account for this. i mean come on new zones..new races..and you get to customized your gear to your likings with all new revamped stats whats not to like? the fact that it is a little easier on the brain? i mean i used to play with a calculator next to my computer its time to retire that calculator :)
I personaly love these changes, and for all these q's about how these new stat changes are going to effect people, im sure that for every class stats will have a different impact (such as: Rogues prob wont get much dodge from agi, it will most likely be added into talents) and for hunter it might not only be just agi stacking, you still have to regenerate focus dont you? I think they might do something with int or str that increases the amount per second you regain. And about the landscape changes?@#$ing awsome, the new races? Also !@#$ing awsome! (Worgen ftw) Good job blizz, give us something that we havent ever seen before! (Im also interested in what the lore is going to look like, Deathwing is no joke, he took on all the dragon flights and the burning legion at once)
So will Int no longer give crit? If so, how much?
May I remind all the people who are saying the game is becoming simpler that in the beginning there was no such thing as hit rating, crit rating, ArmPen, Defense (atleast not in the capacity which it is used now)...
I hope they don't change things too much. Part of the fun is going back to the areas where you came up as a character and getting revenge, and the familiarity of it and remembering it from the perspective of a higher level character.
As a warrior and DK the AP off gear kinda sucks for me that means a bunch of the necklaces, trinkets and rings i can get has been severely numbered and with a billion other plate-wearers out there (more so DKs) getting a piece with str and crit on it is even more difficult. I have a DK and a Warrior that needs this gear and in a 25 man usually i have 5 or 6 other people rolling against the same gear i am.And if ehn shammys use int and agi they are going t be completely OP.....Armor pen was a good stat.... just as long as you know what stats to go for instead of going for the highest level plate gear for your DK, pally or warrior with str on it go for something that might be an upgrade, people should know what items are good for them and what stats they should get to increase their dps or tanking capability. Not to mention this is becoming a totally different game, Blizz is turning this game into Diablo....
I think it is too much change. I feel that wow is going to be almost like a "new" game. Dont really know if i like it. Weeks / months after the expansion there will be alot of trouble with loot and stats. I hope blizz will make this more clear about what stats all the classes will need in Cataclysm.
WoW is now super ezmode because of this :<
To me This is absolutely stupid.... what will the talents for tanks say.... ("Your mind realizes that crits hurt more than non-crits. (this talent is more effective than rank 1,2,3, and 4) and on rank 5 passive ability is says You are UNCRITTABLE! ..... thats what makes gearing for things interesting sacrificing your AP for hit or Health for Defense.... i just find it lame that they are dumbing the game down.
damn i guess my fire mage is gonna be stealing healing gear for spirit lol.Unless blizzard sees this and makes molten armor give crit for int.
unless blizz forgets 2 revamp molten armor....
good, good, good, good, good.To paraphrase GC "People dont think about their gear, they spreadsheet it."A number of people on this thread have proved it more than true, those claiming that "working out BiS is ezmode, just shadowpanther it" (or whatever your class of choice's equivalent is).Naturally, all talents and gear will be reworked, and what we are likely to see is a total revamp of all our theorycrafting, and possibly non-linear scaling coefficients.People are making the mistake of looking at the system now, and going "what happens if we remove all the green stats". Naturally, paladins and shammies wil think theyve gone mad by making them need spirit. However, we will likely be seeing talents and abilities that, for example, grant a % of int as spirit, if not a total reworking of how classes and specs work. This sounds to me like a move back to vanilla itemisation, where green stats were far rarer, and far less of an item's budget. With an elemental based expansion, dare i suggest Resist gear will be back, and better than ever, if its eating less itembudget?
