Some of this stuff seems unlikely, i feel Garrosh is kind of like Arthas before he became the lich king, but also i know this is blogged but that doesn't leave people to actually ask others questions since its..your blog not our question to the forum viewers
It's the end of the world, as we know it...(8)I think jaina should be the new tirisfal guardian rather than thrall...
All I really thought when reading the announcement was "Wut?". Has Bibi gone nuts? I was willing to agree with his "the Highbornes are back" comment. I am willing to agree that the next expansion will be Cataclysm. But here is how many things he derives from those two:
I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this. I'm likeing the look of worgen players enough to consider rerolling. just depends on what classes they can be.
Ok my impressions, if anyone cares:1. Completely redone old world looks awesome IMO especially if lowbies start there...a great way to level my blood elf warrior!2. Thrall...Guardian of Tirisfal? No, just no.3. The new classes, other than blood elf warrior, human hunter, undead hunter, and dwarf shaman look stupid and make almost no sense. Tauren paladins? They are REALLY going have to f**k with lore to work that one out...4. Uldum! Finally! That's it for now. Just my $.02.
I used to listen to official blizzard podcast, and as far as I remember they said they were NEVER gonna make azeroth flyable.
PANIC!Oh wow, these are some crazy changes. I'm all excited and feel like I should go on a screenshot taking spree so I can remember the old world now. Also so I can taunt people and say, "Well yeah, I remember when..."If these changes are true, I'm seriously tempted to start all over again at level 1 just to experience the revamped low level stuff. So much planning to do!
i like a lot of the ideas but some of them dont make sense (tauren paladins?) but i think revamping the old world would make it at least a bit more intresting.and also if Cataclysm does turn out to be the name of it what else would be consider cataclysmic besides something reshaping the worldedit: i also think alot of people are takeing this more as fact then speculation (or just phrasing it like that)
I call BS. Some of it sounds viable, but a lot of it is just so...predictable. It's like they just took a ton of bad ideas they found on the internet and stuck them together into one superdumb expansion. It doesn't have a Blizzard feel to it all. I'm pretty sure, also, that there's a pretty recent article saying they weren't going to implement flying in the old world. I can't see them really destroying the old world like that, either... Blizzard would just make WoW 2 if they were going to do something as drastic as that. NIGHT ELF MAGES? Read their race description on the create-a-character screen, it says they distrust the arcane.Certain things just don't add up, too. They say a lower level cap increase to make room for more future expansions, but Azshara being so involved with this kind of screws over a Maelstrom expansion. Also, Malfurion coming back would probably ruin an Emerald Dream expansion. What the hell does Malfurion have to do with making the new Guardian of Tirisifal, anyway, and why on earth is it Thrall? I could see them giving Garrosh the Horde, but killing off Cairne...?Again, it doesn't feel real. It seems like people just took two scraps of info: the trademarking of Cataclysm and the Goblin/Worgen masks, and made up stuff from there.Maybe MMO-champion has been right before, but I just can't swallow this. I also saw multiple misspellings, which suggests to me that this is not legit.I'm waiting till Blizzcon.
Night Elves used to have mages. They are the Highborne. That new Alliance quest implies that there are still Kaldorei capable of using arcane magic... they just don't do it. Because it's wrong. But they can. And if Cataclysm refers to the Maelstrom and the Naga, it is entirely possible that night elf mages start appearing again. You know, since the naga were Highborne...
Everyone is capable of using arcane magic -.-
I can hardley wait for the night elf mage! I will be disappointed if it does not make the cut
All of this is speculation and sounds an awful lot like what everyone has come to expect from the suggestions forums, I strongly urge anyone with any bit of sense to wait another few weeks for the Blizzcon news.
Of all the new race and class combination(s), I don't find any unmanageable, even the Tauren Paladin isn't much of a stretch. Such as Night elf mages, yes they may distrust the arcane but we've seen them and the alliance as a whole did allow re-admittance for death-knights. But most of all the annocements, I am surprised Carine will be removed from office as he seemed to me, to be the most loyal to the Thrall since Warcraft III, didn't show much care for the alliance and I think should have played a bigger role in the MMO. With the leader changes surfacing I wonder too, if Lor'themar will be crowned king of Silvermoon? On that note I wonder if well see unique models for all the racial leaders.
This sucks. Not only do I have to spend more money, but I have to level 5 more times. This news seems to support the idea that Bliz wants to make an expansion per year, but I really, REALLY don't want to level 5 times per year. Leveling is the worst part of the game. Not that I want to pay $40 bucks per year instead of $40 every 2 yrs either.
Tauren Pallehs: <3<3<3<3<3Troll Druids confuse me though: I could see some of them as adopting druidism, but what I find odd is that they didn't add a matching Druid race to alliance; up to now, Druids have only been available to one race on each side, and now it just feels lopsided... maybe Draenei could adopt it as well...?edit:
