Is there an official announcement released that the new races will be Worgen and Goblins? I missed it then.Nope, it's just speculation of speculation.
I really thought that goblins would be horde (just look at the zeppelin towers, and goblin vs gnome engineering). But still, those "proud" humans that is the WoW race would never accept worgen into their "holy alliance".Plus the goblins were part of the horde in the second war.
.....hmmm.....WORGEN DK! i called it :)but imoworgen = alliance is not as fair as i wanted it. imo they should both stay neutral allowing the player with side they wanna join....i know this will be EXTREMELY hard to implement but cmon....goblins....wtf i hate those guys always with their raspy voices ready to blow u up with a new bomb gadget -_-
Well, I'm pleased there are gonna be new races in the next X-pack. I was none too thrilled we didn't get any in WOTLK. Worgen are just cool as hell, and I've wanted to play them since I first saw them years ago in Duskwood. Goblins, yeah I can see myself rolling one of them. A Gob Pally would be pretty neat.
steamweadhel cartel, that makes me say : meh!
Personally, I think it would be a lot more interesting if instead of just adding two cut and dried races, a la TBC, they gave the character a choice. I.E, goblins and worgen could choose their faction during creation or during their starter area, sort of how it works with the factions in Sholazar Basin currently.I really doubt that Blizzard would just do a rehash of TBC without adding a twist (at least I'd hope so).Edit: In addition, I really hope Goblins don't have Horde... with Belfs being added to the Horde in TBC, and goblins in the new expansion, I'm truly afraid of a Horde population explosion.Well we could use one ;)
I think the most reasonable, and i base this mostly on the change to Pvp servers allowing toons from both factions, that the goblins or worgen (or whatever race they might intoduce) will be neutral. If it becomes that each factons gets one i dont think wither of hese 2 races could join the alliance. Varian has a habit distrusting alot of races that wish to redeem themselves or have a bad image because of past acts. He'll see the worgen as beast and just plain /kick them. The horde is more likely to adopt the worgen into the horde, seeing them to be like themselves, trying to redeem what has been done by their race before. NOt to mention the people from gilneas had originally refused to join the alliance whats stopping them from doing it again. (works for both alliance and horde)THe goblins are also more likely to go with the horde. but since one of the 2 need go to the alliance. It would fit (not a whole lot) for them to join the alliance. it could be something along the lines of Varian has payed them out to bolster his army. but this also means there will be tension with the gnomes. Is it me but are alliance just so stuck up that no other race could or would join them. its probably just Varian. I think an assanation is due.
I'll believe that the new races are goblins and worgens when Blizzard says so.Until then, it's not such a big deal for me.
im pretty sure there will be no New races in the next expansionInstead Blizzard should focus on updating the "old world" to allow flying mounts and make the grafics better and the world bigger
WoW.com confirmed this today, apparently.I #$%^ bricks.
I #$%^ bricks.Ouch man... need some laxatives?
I personally don't think either of these will be added, and I'm PRAYING they wont.

I've been to a couple including the coast of Tirisfal where a night elf tower is located in an odd but named area, and I have been into old IF and asked a GM to get me out, he told me not to go back. If you travel along the coast of the vanilla wow continents you will find places like this which possibly are for new expansions, or ideas blizz just gave up on and threw there. Blizzard is too lazy to clean up vanilla areas so doubt we will ever fly in Azeroth
I say bring on the Pandorians.On-topic: So does that mean that Ratchet, Booty bay, and all the other "goblin cities" would become anti alliance, And just Horde friendly? (If it even happens ofc)
Why wasn't this posted over a month ago when MMOChampion reported it? Just curious. Also, I think adding goblins to the Horde will be a slap to the face, not because I don't like goblins, but because it will be the second time the Horde gets an establishing, "boring" race (elves), while the Alliance gets something totally new (uncorrupted draenai).

I see there being a neutral faction as such, were you choose Goblin or Worgen and at ~level 10 (end of start zone) you either go Horde or Alliance, but although it makes much more sence it doesn't really fit into the lore.Even though this doesn't fit in with the lore this is the way I and I'm sure many others would rather have it, no arguing or QQ over it, " But i wanted a Worgen!" Etc... But then also think, a neutral race such as the Goblins on both sides of a BG, I can't see that working, unless ofcourse cival war is a way to go for the supposedly all neutral all friendly Goblins.I maybe going on alot about Goblins but I have reasons to, another reason it wouldn't work is all the people who are now hated by Goblin Cities just for their Bloodsail Admiral shizz. But still after all of that, I don't care too much for lore or logic I'd just like it how i put it in the first paragraph.
O.o a worgen death Knight would be so freaking coolOmgyes
I love the idea - although I personally would prefer to see a neutral faction added with 5 new races. However, I'm also not going to get my hopes up too much. WoW.com reports that it confirmed this with several "inside" sources - but until they can say who those sources were...
