The "new details" is mainly about the fact that wow.com has, from certain sources, confirmed the races will be playable and which faction each race will be tied to. I'm assuming these sources are the same ones that had leaked information about the WotLK changes that were later confirmed, so their legitimacy is somewhat trusted. This news is mainly just the "speculation" to "confirmed by trusted sources" post.
Personally, I think it would be a lot more interesting if instead of just adding two cut and dried races, a la TBC, they gave the character a choice. I.E, goblins and worgen could choose their faction during creation or during their starter area, sort of how it works with the factions in Sholazar Basin currently.I really doubt that Blizzard would just do a rehash of TBC without adding a twist (at least I'd hope so).Edit: In addition, I really hope Goblins don't have Horde... with Belfs being added to the Horde in TBC, and goblins in the new expansion, I'm truly afraid of a Horde population explosion.
I have a friend who is supposedly in the alpha test for the next expansion, and one of the things he said to me while we talked about WoW, was the fact that there might be a 3rd faction in the next expansion. he hasnt said much else, but I personally believe that the new faction will possibly incorperate one of the two, but the other doesnt seem likely. this is probably just to lead people off of the trails. blizz is like that. again, I heard this from word of mouth, and I dont know how much truth to put in it, seeing as Im pretty sure that him and all my other friends are insane in different ways.
Halloween masks don't mean anything regarding new races IMO, but if you've got a link to more substantial evidence, I would like to hear it.
I realize there's no link with proof, but. . .I TOLD YOU FOO'S!
IMO worgen could go horde just as likely as alliance. They were pulled to Azeroth against their will by humans, and they might not like them for that. Also stories of redemption from being bloodthirsty killers is a bit of a horde thing. And I cant imagine the alliance likeing a race that doesnt worship the light/look human.-Edit- I dont think the goblins would join the alliance either, so the only thing I can think of is neutral races.
You what im thinking of. Nutral races, the Goblins and Worgen don't have a faction Affilination so you can choose what side you want to be on with them. Make them do a quest chain like the deathkight class but make it an option to do it.
goblins? i think they are too greedy to side completely with the horde dont you think?i bet it ll be pandaren and worgen
I personally think that neither of them will be added
Blizzard website links? :<
WHY is this news AGAIN?wow.com is one of the most unreliable sources for information possible, they will write anything just to get 40 'fresh' articles out each day and pull in the adviews...btw.. wasn't there another data update with further masks?
wow.com is one of the most unreliable sources for information possibleDo indulge us, please.
Lotta speculation over two hallows eve masks.
worgen will be horde most likely imo. Why? they will almost undoubtfully start in Gilneas, and whats next to gilneas? thats right, horde controlled silverpine! And guess what Silverpine used to be?Alliance. Lore wise anyway, not ingame.Gilneas was and still is Human Controled by the Greymane Dynasty.Nobody knows what has been happening behind those walls since the Second War.The Greymane Dynasty has been barracaded since then, and the rest of Silverpine has been taken into Undead Territory. So It is slim to none the if their was a Playable Worgen race that it would be horde. But then again, these speculations couldnt even be true, and Blizzard has thrown some curveballs at us before...
Do indulge us, please.Corgan claims this is newsworthy because wow.com has a 'source' that confirms it. I am saying wow.com will say anything just to have another article in their feed that can get them some more adviews. They are big on quantity very low on quality. The 24hournewsnetwork of wow. This is old info, and it was weak speculation to begin with, figuring that there were masks for other world races added as well. You expecting to have playable murlocks?

I can link several where they've gotten it completely right despite nay-nayers like yourself claiming they're wrong.
goblins? i think they are too greedy to side completely with the horde dont you think? Why would this mean that all goblins have sided with the Horde? Trolls are a playable Horde race and yet there's still plenty of tribes that aren't part of the Horde. Let's also not forget all the High Elves that didn't buy into the whole "Blood Elf" shtick that Kael'thas came up with.
Please don't bring this to WoWHead... I stayed away from the official forums because of all this crap SPECULATION about halloween masks... They've already pretty much debunked it by finding even more halloween masks. :/
i would rather greet some new hero-class instead of goblins or worgen. I heard some rumours about that the new hero-class should be demon hunter...but i think it's a bulls#$t :)I've heard from various friend of a friend type sources that they don't want to add another hero class for the next expansion because of balance issues. I personally doubt it, but with all the problems they've been having with DKs I can sort of see it maybe being true.It also feels more likely that we will get a Hero Class each expansion, though that could get pretty ridiculous at some point.
What spoilers? And what new information?Other than saying goblins will be allies and worgen horde (which is the opposite of past conspiracy theories) this post contains nothing people didn't already think they knew.WoW.com states they have... INSIDER information... *yawn*Also, not meaning to sound like an #$%^&*!, but nice copy-paste of the post from there. Not that it gave us anything new to think about, other than keeping the topic fresh. The rawr-"source" is one of the more boring theories I've read about the subject, not even containing something I didn't read off various forums (this included) within 2-3 hours after the Masks was first shown online. All in all, nothing to see here, there's no news - other than people stating that they have insider information, telling them stuff.WTB BlizzCon
