Good decision totally. Great director. I can't wait to see some WoW movies!
For the Scourge! ARTHAS SHALL DESTROY ALL IN THAT MOIVE!
Yeah i hope the movie are just as awesome as the movies Raimi does. And we know the movie its gonna be about humans, because its gonna help the marketing, rather than have and orc or undead as protagonist and scare the people.
I like Sam, Spider-Man was a good series. He's a good director. Good choice, Blizzard! =)Lets just hope he's read up on his WoW Lore, eh?
The Chris Metzen is strong with this one....
Hopefully it will be the quality of Spiderman 1 and not Spiderman 3. That series dropped off pretty hard.
I'm so excited. :DHe made army of darkness, Bruce campbell better play a tauren!
Lets be honest, Bliz have been using enough Raimi 'lore' in Wrath so maybe it's been their secret plan for a while. Hail to the King Baby.
Meh, I don't know whether it's so great. Spiderman was good and all that, but I've seen some of the Legend of the Seeker stuff. If you've read the books, then the show isn't very true to the books. And Legend of the seeker is more in the same genre as WoW than Spiderman is. So hopefully Blizz is very protective about the plot for the movie . . .
I'm sure Blizzard made this choice for a good reason, and wouldn't do so if they did not 100% think it would turn out great. They have made the right choices in the past and shall continue to do so. From marketing, to in game patches... oh wait...All jokes aside I am looking forward to this. Anyone think there would be some significant issues for releasing this world wide? The whole China and (un)death thing just came to my mind.
Yo she-!@#$%, lets go!http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2100
Didn't see this, my bad... :sAnyway, it's an awesome choice.
Well to me, I don't think it's a bad idea neither is it a good one, because movies tend to veer off how stories in books or in others things. I just hope that it keeps to the lore. Also I'm not too observant of how directors make movies, if I like it it's good, that's my way of watching it.Although it's gonna great for Blizzard regardless, "A WoW movie, possibly over 11 million are gonna watch it.".Just hoping that it makes it to the theater so we can see what happens. Hurry and make a trailer so we can judge it :P
Raimi strikes me as a bit of a comic and gaming geek anyway. And he's Joxer's older brother - it can't be bad!I just wonder where we'll see Ted in a cameo in the WoW movie.I think it should turn out pretty good, personally. Legend of the Seeker didn't turn out that close to the books, but then again it strikes me as somewhat low-budget - that, and to be fair, they're trying to pull a TV series' worth of material out of a series that, on the whole, is pretty contiguous rather than episodic. As an aside - I want Bruce Campbell as the director of SI:7!One thing important to note based on the article I read: Metzen is co-directing the film.
Also depends on which era the movie portrays. I haven't read much about it, but does it talk about what part of the WoW history the movie will address? Also, I really hate it when a videogame movie takes creative license and screws the lore or feeling of the movie. I'd rather just see an acted version of the history than an original plot subject to a (non-playing?) directors input. For example, I don't want to see something like a ninja Green Goblin or a weak-ass climax like the Venom fight."Cautionary Note Regarding Forward-looking Statements: Information in this press release that involves Blizzard Entertainment’s expectations, plans, intentions or strategies regarding the future are forward-looking statements that are not facts and involve a number of risks and uncertainties. personally im curious how many movies they plan on making and if they are going to make movies over all three warcraft's and the world of warcraft
Why do I forsee Bruce Campbell as Saurfang?
They have so much lore to work with, I wonder what story from WoW they'll use.Personally, I'd love to see Arthas' descent into madness from the WC3 campaign.
