On a site note, I could add a couple of minor supporting arguments to this. I am going to shamelessly assume that the next expansion is going to be Maelstrom/Great See/wet and watery.
I felt it was worth changing my signature for this one, just because I want to see Boubouille be wrong.Edit: I don't see it making any sense to force the Goblins into alignment with one faction. What does that mean for the old world? Will Booty Bay become Horde-only?Both of these races have been neutral up to this point. There's only so much breaking of form that can be accepted in lore.
"halloween mask"/end stupid speculations.
I was never a fan of the creepy Goblins :( I hope they make it so no matter what side you are on you can pick Worgen or GoblinsIf anything comes true about this maybe this will be a neutral race pick and you can safely run back and forth between major city's and areas without getting harassed lol :) Being Horde gives me a bad feeling we would end up with those Goblins cretins cause we lack short people, while Allies would get the awesome Worgens cause they lack animal people ><Maybe this is just an Easter egg to throw us off.
Edit: (Also, this ^)Although it sounds fun and all.. those are Hallow's End masks.. doesn't mean anything about new races.. random things happen. In a way I hope it's true, though.
I think this would be pretty cool if it were the case. Mainly because I am alliance and i imagine we would have the worgen...which is completely awesome. However speculation is just speculation so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
anyone who thinks these masks indicate that these races will be playable clearly hasn't checked the calendar. It won't be 4.0 by October.
The Alliance gain a blocked off zone near Undercity and the Horde gain control of all 6 Goblin towns (and the Auction Houses :D).Sounds like a good strategic trade. It also sounds totally bogus for game balance.Basically I'm saying I doubt it, but stranger things have happened. (Okay, no, they haven't, but thing have happened I doubted.)
One of my guildees was doing some searching through his archives and ran across this.*This is a screenshot of the Wow forums from back in 2004 by a Blizz coummunity rep named Caydiem. Cay was apparently a community rep until sometime in 2006.This post gets referenced a lot, but unfortunately Blizzard's forums do not go back that far - that, or they purged this specifically because it was not to have been posted. However, if you take a peek at it, you'll note that so far this plan has been held to pretty well. However, while Gilneas is noted as being in the next expansion, the following (The Planes) reference what appears to be the homeland of the Worgen and Pandaria. One other item of note: There is a quest line in Darkshore that references the fact that the Worgen are not native to Azeroth, I believe; it notes that they were brought here by magic (I think by Arugal). Gilneas, then might be completely infected and all be "Worgenized", but that is not their homeland.*It should be noted that these would have been the beta forums, I believe. According to WoWWiki, pre-1.0 patches (or pre-release patches) started in early 2004 and continued through October 2004. This puts this post occurring a few days after the official launch date.
This Boubouille person sounds like a real egomaniac to be spouting things like "I haven't been wrong yet, guys!"A female worgen texture worries me.
why are the textures being added to the PTR?Call me skeptical, but I think it's the same reason they added this: I've Had Worse.
I really don't think that these will be two new races at all. I think blizz was just throwin' in some creepy ghouly masks for halloween. Goblins and werewolves are pretty halloweeny.
I just wish it where more see able for horde to have the puppy people. Goblins are so gross and scary looking..we already have some scary intimidating looking races on the horde side already :P Buuut if it did turn out like that I know who I'd replace my inactive Allie alt with :) And I run away for any player playing as goblin lol ...they should make them look like that one Hob goblin in the Spiderwhick movie, I wouldn't be so pron to run away xD
I don't find the female worgen to be creepy... rather sexy if you ask me.
Goblins>Gnomes as far as short people go.
Worgen are a gift to whoever is exalted with Kalu'ak. They have lots and lots of them hiding in those huts. They've been planning this for a while.I don't find the female worgen to be creepy... rather sexy if you ask me.That's what worries me.
I rather want worgen to Horde, than Goblin.
I rather want worgen to Horde, than Goblin. If they are going to be playable races, I'm guessing it'll be a sort of 'either on both sides' kind of thing.I just don't see Goblins picking a side like that.

The information we currently have pointing at ANY of these furry races is a picture an the initials 'Wo', which fit both.Neither of those masks looks like current in-game worgen or wolvar. It looks like Lion-man and a brown Krystal.
