You're missing the "identifying the remains" quest you get from actually managing to kill the kraken. Beyond that, comprehensive guide.http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=14095
How do you kill something that submerges and heals so often? I got him down to 50% and just don't see how it can be done...
Very nice, this will help me big time.
#$%^ing jousting....! I can't stand it! And now we have to do it sooo many times to get access to new dailies? Come ooon Blizzard what the &*!@ are you turning this game into? Operating vehicles with 5 buttons and all the same stats, rather than classes you played for ages, farmed gear for and have 20+ buttons to press.... grrrr.Edit and they've gone even further with introducing currency only obtained by these lame dailies, so you basically need to plough through them to get the associated rewards, like the Heirloom chest. OMG!(And before you say "if you don't like it stop playing"... yes, if this jousting business and these lame dailies won't change, I most definitely will stop playing :)
Excellent Guide ArgentSun!I've not been doing my Argent Dailies since Pre-3.2, so this will help greatly in getting back to them.
Jousting isn't that bad. And now that I'm done lying through my teeth, here's how to make jousting better.Keep some Shields upI don't know why I read strategies that disagree with this. Keep your Shields up when possible. If you are at Melee range and not doing the run/jump/Shield Break strategy below then you should be spamming Melee and Shields together since they do not share a cooldown.Jump lotsAfter you Charge an opponent you are stuck moving at high speed for a couple seconds and your mount/vehicle has a max turn speed. If you stay on the ground then this combination makes you orbit around your opponent. However, you can turn as you jump, allowing you to turn while still moving in s a straight line. This lets you get some distance and turn at the same time. The moment you land you should be able to pop a Shield Breaker - spam the button to be sure you get it.Practice so you know when to jump/turn after the Charge - depending on your lag and timing it might be right away, you might need to take a second running before you jump/turn. Getting this wrong allows the opponent to get extra Shield Breakers or Charges on you.Double your damageThe safe/easy strategy is to Charge the other Champions/Valiants in the back at the start of the fight and whenever they try to make some distance to Charge you. With the safe strategy they will never get a Shield Breaker or Charge on you. This is also much slower than optimal. Note that Shield Breaker and Melee are not on the same cooldown so you can hit them, run past, turn/jump, spam Shield Breaker so it goes off as soon as you land, then close the gap and Melee again. You can do this over and over once you learn the timing, basically doubling your damage. As before, if you turn/jump with too much space the opponent will get to Shield Breaker / Charge you back so this takes practice.Solo the Boneguard CommandersThe above strategy can be used to solo the Boneguard Commanders in front of the Citadel. You want to always jump downhill after you Charge (more distance, more time to turn), land & throw a Breaker, keep some distance and hit Charge as soon as it's available. If you are maximizing Charge the fights are easy, but be careful of adds. Crush the Footmen ASAP (they deal nearly no damage when you have 3 shields but drop you fast when you have zero), stop fighting to drop any Scouts you pull and avoid Lieutenants because they take a shield with every hit.Honestly, I enjoy these Argent quests, the Seals are good rewards for a variety of reasons and appeal to different player types. The collectors get Pets and Mounts. The greedy get Pets to sell. The Teleport junkies get another pseudo-hearth. The non-Engineers get a 4 hour bank/mailbox/vendor. Plus Heirlooms for alts! Something for everyone, more if you're willing to grind out the Crusader title.
