No idea if this has been said yet, and pretty sure it's too late for many, however thought I mention the XP shoulders does increase amount of experience gained with bonfires (honors/desecration's/ whole shebang). For those who aren't using max level characters, nice little tidbit. Using my 70 Rogue for some seed money off bonfires and decided to bring along my shoulders just in case, and was able to verify increase (12650xp desecration w/o shoulders vs. 13914xp desecration w/shoulders). Granted, not a whole lot, but may as well squeeze as much out as ya can, especially if your an altoholic.... /walks away whistling...
i have a 63 dk helped a lot looking at where the flames are to honor and get pole dance plus the money i got off of my main helps alot with repair bills
I am a bit confued about something...This year I've been desecrating and honouring bonfires, because I want to buy the Dancing Flames.Next year - will they be reset?
I did some calculations. :3Horde got total 38 flames to honor, wich is 38x5=190 blossomsAnd 40 flames to extinguish, wich is 40x10= 400 blossoms + 100 (Main city flames)Wich means horde gets 690 blossoms by only doing the flames.Alliance got 40 flames to honor, 40x5=200 blossoms. And 38 to extinguish, 38x10=380 blossoms + 100.Wich means alliance gets 680 blossoms by only doing the flames. The summer set cost 400, and pet/brazier cost 350.400+350=750.60 blossoms left for horde and 70 for alliance.Thats easy to earn by doing some dailies.Like other people already posted, horde gets 1000 blossoms and alliance gets 990 by doing ALL dailies and flames and thats still not enough for getting both pet and brazier + set.So don't overdo yourself doing all dailies 2 times a day, just wait for next year to get the missing item. And don't worry if you never did all the dailies. Because they will most likely reset the flames next year and your blossoms will expire in due time. You've got enough blossoms by doing torch tossing and catching 3-4 times (30-40 blossoms) and Striking Back 3-4 times (30-40 blossoms).By killing Ahune and turning in the shard will make your need of doing dailies less by 2 dailies(20 blossoms). This may be a late post considering there's only 2 days left of the event but may be some help for some people. Some people may already know this but just wanted to clear some things up! :3And correct me if I'm wrong! :)Have a nice summer!EDIT: Corrected some spelling and added more things.
Used this guild for all quest chains, great guide thank you :)
i messed mine up by buying the pet and brazier and then didnt have enough blossoms to buy all the clothes so i talked to a nice GM and they refunded my flowers on the brazier so now i have the meta for fire festival :P YAY DENTARG GMS
im not enjoying it as much i never even tried before :P
I started a recommended tweak to the order of Northrend bonfires. I figure efficiency is really important, especially since this is the part that takes the longest. I'm sure it could be better, but it's better than alphabetical.
I guess I can count myself lucky. I completed ALL the honor/extinguish flame quests on Azeroth and in Outland. I found Outland to be a lot faster (since there were only 2 flames per area), and its a breeze if you have a flying mount (or have the flight paths). The beauty is that being the achievement-fanatic I am, I got all of them done on the first day. But when Blizzard reset the quests, I had already gotten the achievements/blossoms/exp so I was just able to redo it all over again for even MORE blossoms/exp. I bought the entire Midsummer Set, the companion pet, the brazier, got the fire festival helm from stealing city flames, the summer tabard from defrosting Ahune, and a special ToR to top off the outfit. Had a lot of 80s admiring my title, but more then that admiring my weapon that matched perfectly with the Midsummer Outfit. ^_^If you're on Tichondrius and can tell me (Renashkara) what weapon I have that matches with it, I'll cook up some nice food for ya. ^_^A bit easier for those in stealth and those who are paladins...we can loot the flame, then bubble-hearth outta there before you get ganked (barring a priest or warrior nearby ready to pop it).
Did it on my level 56 warrior. I already had it for my main mostly from the year before and didn't intend to complete it on any of my alts, but then decided that the easy xp would be a nice way to level (and a change from the quest grinding) so i did all the Azeroth fires. Then saw that Ahune was reachable from level 55 onwards, and learned that a mage could send low levels to Dalaran thanks to a portal. That's when it clicked.Actually had to kill Ahune twice (thanks to a lvl 80 mage from the guild who was in the process of doing Outland Loremaster and boosting his sister's alt in Slave Pens) since for whatever reason i didn't get it on the first kill, and then roamed around Outland to get all the fires. Terrokar, the horde SMV flame, Nagrand and the tunnel to Blade Edge were the most annoying parts as there isn't a really path without mobs to get through, but all in all it went suprisingly well.
I had the shoulders and the pet from 2006. :-)
