Forget the free level 90, I'm more irritated that Tyrael's Charger is going to be available in the store... I regretted signing up for that stupid annual pass, I didn't play half the time because I was so bored with the game. But at least I have a mount out of it, and it's mildly rare (if you started in mists, or just happened not to get it in cata). Now they're adding it to the the store? Really? Why not add the old Zul Gurub mounts while you're at it? -_- #
Personally Im totally cool with "free" 90's. For a couple of reasons. Firstly, that lvl and gear dont add up to skill. The good players will still stand out, and you wont learn how to play your character as well as the Vanilla vets if yo ujust jump in and start as a geared 90. Secondly, the true achievers will still be out there. I mean, I was a lore master before quest helper, meaning I had to go and click on every single person to find these quest that I had to do. So do you see people who want to start at 90 going through that trouble? I dont. Plus the lore and the story and the heart of the game is within running all the old stuff. But when youve done it 5, 10, maybe for some really crazy people 30 times and lvled all your characters from 1-90 on your own with no boost except maybe BOA's, its basically like reading the same book over and over again, watching the same cut scenes (Not talking about the Wrath gate, that was awesome), turning in the same quest and grinding the same dungeons. Now are these new players ever going to know the pain of full bags so you chuck your hearth stone, your flint&tinder, your fishing pole, just to make room for that blue you fond? Are they ever gunna know what it was like to thank the gods you found a flight point, then find that it doesnt connect or that your to poor to fly? No. But they wont get the good stuff either. The 6hr long Alterac. The big shock that came after you first helped the black dragon flight. Not knowing what was on the other side of the Dark portal. Saving from lvl 40-60 just so you could get your epic mount. And yes, even the pre Wrath launch event. So I say this in closing, let them come, the ones who want lore, the ones who want free stuff, the ones who just want to troll. Let them all in and let them all come for whatever reason they want. Azeroth is big enough from everyone.
I know Blizz are trying to get more people playing but this is a huge mistake. The day this, or "buy your kit" goes live, is the day about 4 million people delete their account

This is all bollocks, honestly. C'mon. I have 6 toons to 85 and 3 to 90, I'd have more but stopped playing as much as I used to. Why? My friends play on a different server or different faction. I'd love to play server tag (I've already spent a couple hundred following people to different factions and servers), but I'd rather, if given the option, just boost a character on that server. Why? Maybe I like my Druid and Hunter on Nesingwary, but I also wanna play with my friends and instanced play isn't as fun as running around like an idiot through stormwind or orgrimmar.TL;DRI think it's a good idea and if you don't like it then don't do it. If anything is killing WoW it's the toxic sub-community that flips out at every proposed change. These changes are being done to update an aging game to compete with each new wave of MMORPG including the new style with constant content updates. Fact of the matter is that some people are willing to throw money at the screen to get the job done as seen with the recent popularity of micro-transactions. Doubt this will change unless companies decide to stop offering the opportunity which would be like saying no to theoretically free money.
This is terrible news. If they're going to have achievements for getting a certain amount of toons to 90, I'd like people to earn them instead of cheating their way into them.I've leveled 7 toons up to 90 and that took time and effort. Boosting one toon to 90 is fine, but being able to pay money and boosting them all is ridiculous and unfair.
The other notable addition to the PTR Blizzard Shop is the return of Tyrael's Charger, originally from the Diablo III Annual Pass.I would be happy if I got my charger back. My pass got revoked due a bank fault so I lost the game & the charger mount, so I'd be happy to get it back but I don't agree with people being able to buy it, just like that. The main reason people bought the annual pass was only really for MOP beta & charger anyways.
Anyone know if this is going to be a one time thing for the WoD purchase or is it going to be multiple 90s. Seems like a lot of work to put into the store just for people to use once. I think blizzard may be looking for a more instantaneous buck.
More Dead Brains Inc. Brave YourSelfs Guys!
I for one would love for the Charger to be available in the game again. Some people hate the look of it but I love it and it would be amazing for my Pally. Hope it's real, although we seem to think it's fake.
Any idea how much it is likely going to end up costing?I would be tempted to use the boost option after reaching level 60 as leveling thru TBC & WOTLK is a dull experience when you have done it over 6 times and getting profession boost could save you a large chunk of gold.I personally do not have a problem with people using this service, Veteran players can get insta tanks/healers power leveled up and new players can instantly join the current content without the worrier of leveling thru all the prev content. My only hope is that new players still have to go thru a phased / instanced zone that introduces them to the basics of the class and where they can learn about CC and threat.
That might be what that Karazhan thing is
Maxed professions are retarded but leveling is nice.
As long as the cost of insta-90 is lower that the cost of subscribtion required to lvl up the char to 90, many players will choose this option.
