New features: glyphs in completion tracker, multi-skillup support, map phasing
2010/11/22 at 6:39 PM
We've added a few cool new features around the site for you to play with!
Glyphs in the Completion Tracker
You can now view what glyphs you know in the Completion Tracker! They're listed directly underneath your talents on the
talents pane of the Profiler
Give it a try! Upload your data using the
, and then check your characters!
Multiple Skill-Up Filters
You can now filter for items that reward more than one skill point when crafted! Try this link to see a list of glyphs that reward three skill points instead of one:
Phasing Support for Zone Pages
Our zone pages now support separate phases for quests! You can now click through different phases of a map just like you would the floors of a dungeon. Some of the zones are tiny changes, so small t
Around the Site: Guild Advancement/Perks, Reforging in Weight Scales
2010/11/17 at 9:14 PM
We've made a few little additions around the site in the last few days that we wanted to draw your attention to—but perhaps were not large enough to warrant their own posts. :)
Guild Advancement in Cataclysm
We've recently updated our
(you know, that thing you see when you click the little fiery maelstrom at the top of the page there) with a bunch of new info!
you gain as your guild is leveling up through Cataclysm.
We've added a table of all the

Go check them on the Cataclysm Guide's
Reforging in Stat Weights
We actually implemented Reforging in our
stat weighting system
some time ago, but we were having (*ahem*) a little trouble with our stat weights, and we didn't want to announce an enhanc
Pardon Our Dust!

In case you haven't noticed, we're making some tweaks to the blog layout!
We haven't settled into a final design, but we're looking into ways to revise the way our content is presented, so we can take advantage of the full page width.
Please give us your feedback in this post!
We're still making changes and we welcome your opinions.
New Data From User Uploads
2010/11/10 at 3:52 PM
We've added a new batch of data to our db, all of it from user uploads!
There are a bunch of new additions here, including several new jewelcrafting designs, a few hilariously named quests (, anyone?), and the deployment of the much-anticipated , pictured at right!
Remember, the more of you who are using the
to upload your data, the faster we can get this information in!
Level Selector In Talent Calc
2010/11/08 at 8:35 PM
Just another little awesome bonus feature—you can now
select your level
in the talent calculator!
Just click on the level listed at the top of the talent calculator, and a dialog box will pop up asking you what level you'd like. Once you select a level, the talent calculator will be constrained to only the number of talent points that level character has available.
Give it a try and see!
Wowhead User Survey—Win an Xbox/PS3/Wii
2010/11/08 at 6:12 PM
So one of the most common complaints we get—or any website gets, for that matter—is about the ads. We don't like it when annoying, obnoxious, irrelevant ads are showing our pages. We don't like "Shoot the Duck" any more than you do.
We want you to be seeing ads for products you actually care about: awesome games, movies, computer equipment, and so on. We have a pretty good idea what sort of ads you want to see. But in order to get those ads up on the site, we need to prove it!
In light of this fact, we've put this little survey together! It asks a bunch of questions about what games you like to play, what movies you like to watch, what sort of gear you like to buy, and so on—so we can prove to our advertisers that our audience knows their gear. And as a thank you for filling it out, we're giving everybody who participates a chance to win
their choice of an Xbox 360, PS3, or a Wii.
So click on through! It takes about 5 minutes to fill out. Wowhead shows fewer annoying ads, and maybe you walk away with a new game console. What do you say?
Remember, we c
