Children's Week (April 29th - May 5th) Guide
2012/04/28 at 6:15 PM
is a week in which we brave a challenge greater than any undead monstrosity and a task more daunting than saving the world. We must become parents for all those orphans throughout Azeroth and make sure they are happy. We can't tank a child's fears, we can't heal its memories of pain, nor can we DPS the sorrow out of them. So equip your toys, make a mage conjure a candy table, fill your quiver with joy, load your gun with something colorful, and venture into the World of Parenting!

Due to the advent of Cataclysm,
was changed last year to have two new pets and redone locations for the initial tier of quests.
It's also worth noting that in Mists of Pandaria, pets will be accountwide! This means you should get extra pets on your alts that you do not have so you can trade them to your main when the expansion hits.
If you already have all the pets, be sure to pick up

Brightly Colored Eggs
have been hidden all across the starting areas for both Alliance and Horde players to discover. These eggs can contain chocolates which serve as a currency to buy seasonal goodies--sometimes they also have special prizes! Simply head out to one of your faction's starting areas, grab some quests, and get out there and hunt eggs! Maybe you'll even earn some achievements along the way!
Remember, this year, a new mount is tied to the event:
! It costs 500 Noblegarden chocolates this year--very lucky people will be able to find it in a Brightly Colored Egg as a very rare drop! There are also

A sinister plot is afoot involving some shady goblin newcomers to the seasonal market--the Crown Chemical Company! It's up to us to help save Azeroth from their chemically altered goods all while spreading love and appreciation to our faction leaders and fellow players!

Happy New Year's Eve
2011/12/31 at 7:57 AM
Just a quick reminder that New Year's Eve is today and World of Warcraft has its usual celebration going down in Booty Bay! Make sure to check it out if you like fireworks and want to ring in 2012 in-game.
Merry New Year! The celebration begins at 6:00 a.m. Realm-Time December 31 with fireworks in the skies above the cities, and repeats every hour on the hour. Feel free to sample some of the exotic brews and libations carted in from around the world, and dance in celebration as a new year dawns. If you're on a PvP realm you're cautioned to steer clear of Booty Bay (or potentially visit with haste) as the guards there appear to have had too much fun already and aren't likely to be enforcing the town rules until morning.

--wait, what? Is that a new type of present we've found in the database? That's right, like many holidays as of late, Blizzard's changed the classic Winter's Veil into their new format featuring a daily queue and some new prizes. There's also a new holiday gift waiting for you under this year's tree, so this is one holiday you don't want to miss!
World of Warcraft's version of Christmas has been more or less the same for several years now minus the unique gift every year is known for. This year it has been changed fairly significantly so before we get started with the guide, we'd like to get these out of the way.
If you've done the holiday in the past, you've likely saved
Metzen the Reindeer
a few times from a band of intrepid Iron Dwarves who kidnapped him or a group of marauding pirates in Tanaris depending on your faction. This year, however, he's become kidnapped by
The Abominable Greench
who decided to upgrade from past year's petty larceny to kidnapping everyone's favorite Bl

Tip: Get some
