Guide to Wild Battle Pets of Draenor
2014/10/03 at 1:27 PM
Today we're welcoming an additional writer to Wowhead!
, the author of our
Challenge Mode transmog
guides, will be writing weekly articles for us and assisting with beta/ptr coverage. We hope you enjoy her first article on wild battle pets in Warlords of Draenor!
The Warlords of Draenor expansion releases with 27 new wild pets for pet battlers to hunt and capture. These pets are in most of the new zones and are, in general, level 25 pets with the pets in the starting zones a slightly lower 24.
Unlike some hard to find wild pets released with MOP (like the
), these pets are plentiful and easy to find and seem to have an increased chance at being blue quality. In some zones, the chance at these new pets being secondary pets in the battle is quite high -
battles seemed to be entirely composed of the new pets whereas
secondary pets were mostly old world pets like chipmunks.

Legendary Cloak Questline: The PvP Portion
2014/06/16 at 7:53 PM
Legendary Cloak PvP - Battleground Guide
The most controversial part of the Legendary Cloak quest line is undoubtedly the PvP section, specifically
The Lion Roars
Glory to the Horde
for Horde players. Many players hate it, wish it didn't exist, and many even give up. So, Wowhead wanted to put together a short guide to getting through the PvP portion of the quest line as painlessly as possible. We're not going to go into huge depth with Rated Battleground level tactics, instead this is a survival guide to help with the basics of these two battlegrounds. Do check out our
full Legendary Cloak Guide
for more information.
If you have the resources to do so, getting together nine other players to exchange wins in these battlegrounds in 5v5 Wargames can be an easy way out of participating in Random Battlegrounds.
Temple of Kotmogu
Temple of Kotmogu's main mechanic is holding orbs. There are four orbs, and holding them earns your team victory points, depending on where you are while you're holding them.
News Roundup: Connected Accounts, Azeroth Choppers, Wowhead Guides, Tank Giveaway, Tweets
2014/05/30 at 6:33 PM
A new feature has appeared on battle.net, allowing players to connect their battle.net account to an X-Box Live account or a Playstation Network account. The page offers "legendary rewards and benefits" for doing so, but it remains unclear just exactly what those might be.
It seems likely that this may relate to the upcoming release of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls on console on August 19. It will release on PS3, PS4, XBox 360 and XBox One. Over a year ago, Blizzard Community Manager Vaeflare said in
a forum post
that "there are currently no plans to allow connectivity between PlayStation Network and Battle.net". Maybe this account connection signals a change to this policy going forwards?
Significant Tweets: Garrisons, Toybox, Pet Battles

Our overview takes a look at what's being added for each profession, from useful consumables to vanity items. While Warlords professions will not have combat perks tied to them, there are a ton of neat things you can craft, plus Garrison buildings to help you get crafting materials.
Do keep in mind that profession data is still being updated, and some professions may have additional details yet to come! We'll update this every alpha build with anything interesting we find.
