Blue Pugs Round 3!
2009/11/16 at 10:14 PM
That's right, you get a third opportunity to go PUGging with a blue poster!
This one is
Wednesday, November 18th, at 4:00PM PST.
Since our first two tests went so well, we’d like to invite everyone out again for round 3! Come join the fun on the PTR and instead of getting the PUG blues, you could end up grouped with a blue. Members of the Development Team (including the encounter designers themselves), the QA team, and the Community Team will be on the PTR to test out the new dungeon system and want you to come join in the fun.
To have a chance to group up with one of us, just queue up for a random heroic through the Dungeon tool. We will be playing both Alliance and Horde and since the Dungeon tool allows players to group cross-server, it doesn’t matter which of the two PTR realms you join from.
Join us Wednesday 11/18/09 at 4:00pm PST.

Mr. T Commercial #1 - Mohawk Grenade
2009/11/16 at 1:30 PM
The Night Elf Mohawk himself has infiltrated the game to hand out
to anyone who wants to pity a fool. Along with this comes a new ad campaign with new commercials featuring Mr. T himself.
Get Your Own Mohawk Grenade!
Night Elf Mohawks can be found outside of every starter zone, such as the Northshire Abbey in
and Deathknell in
. Each Mohawk Grenade lasts 1 day and when used on an unexpecting player grants them the
buff which lasts for 60 minutes and gives the player the face of a Night Elf Mohawk. Even after using them all up the Night Elf Mohawks will gladly give you more! An official F.A.Q. on the grenades has also been setup

A little while ago, the very talented Keydar from
Dark Legacy Comics
created a fine piece of art.
Since we did not have a blog to post about it at the time, we felt like we would share it again for everyone to enjoy!

2009/11/14 at 1:55 AM
We've made some updates to the

You can filter globally using the quick search box, or on a per-column basis by right-clicking them. Remember that not all of these items have drop data yet. This will come in time, but we need your help—so be sure to send us your

Jace Hall Blizzard Interview Video
2009/11/13 at 2:10 PM
So Blizzard has provided us with a video from their archives!
This is an interview that
did with the Blizzard staff which originally aired on December 15, 2008—just a month or so after the release of Wrath of the Lich King. He explores the Blizzard offices (which they never let me take pictures of!), talks about the decisions they made for Wrath, and settles an old rivalry.

Well it looks like Blizz is having another contest! This time, you have to design a holiday greeting card!
Every holiday season, Blizzard Entertainment creates a special holiday card to spread some seasonal cheer to little murlocs, zerglings, and imps everywhere. This year, we’re inviting you to catch the spirit by creating a Blizzard-ly holiday card of your own featuring the Warcraft, StarCraft, or Diablo series. We’ll provide the template -- all you need to do is add your personal touch.

Blizzard Authenticators: Are They Worth It?
2009/11/13 at 1:39 AM
The Authenticator is an excellent tool that keeps unwanted hackers out of your account through a nearly infallible method. However, this device also has the potential to cause a
of inconvenience for the account holder, oftentimes more trouble than it would cause for a hacker. I can say from this personal experience because I’ve gone through it twice already. After the second incident, it really made me reconsider whether or not the Authenticator was worth the hassle.
The first time happened was when I went on a trip to Northern California.

So the crew at

is (tentatively) scheduled at the Las Vegas Convention Center next year, for July 30th and 31st!
Check out the source
Blizzard has sent us an official response to this story:
We haven’t announced any details regarding our next BlizzCon -- though we can confirm that it will not be held in Las Vegas -- so we recommend everyone refrain from making any BlizzCon-related travel plans at this time.
Looks like we won't be meeting in Vegas this year—a shame, I was rather looking forward to the trip.
