2012/09/11 at 11:06 AM
We covered the

There was a very minor beta patch today, so we've put the spell changes under the cut!

2012/09/05 at 1:30 PM
We're used to hearing answers about class balance in beta from Blizzard developers, but today we have some details about WoW's lore moving forward from the Creative Development team!
The heroes of Azeroth have faced down many foes; blazing Elemental Lords freed from titanic prisons, mighty demons from beyond the stars, armies of shambling corpses and even eldritch gods who defy explanation. News Round Up: Shorter Raid Cooldowns, Darkmoon Rabbit, 5.0.4 Class Mechanics
2012/09/03 at 2:16 PM
Now that 5.0.4 is live and players have had time to try out the new abilities, there's been many blue posts over the long weekend clarifying class mechanics and procs for abilities, weapons, and trinkets. You may also have noticed that some long cooldowns in 5.0.4 reset between raid encounters like
: there are plans to have even more 5+ minute cooldowns function this same way.
Also of particular note:
The Darkmoon Faire is back in town and brings with it
. This ferocious rabbit requires a large raid to take down and drops
one lucky player can win. Everyone in the raid is awarded
That Rabbit's Dynamite!
Most long-term cooldowns are not reset when a raid encounter ends. The ones we specifically wanted to hit were the battle rezes and the big, raid-wide cooldowns like
. The question we asked ourselves was: would a reasonable, progression-oriented but not world-first guild delay their next pull by several minutes to wait for X to come off of cooldo

We're taking a closer look at the new account-wide achievement system and some other changes we found while playing yesterday. Highlights include:
Realm-first titles are account-wide, like
