Dev Watercooler - Itemization in 6.2, Mystic Runesaber Feedback, Blue Tweets
2015/05/20 at 12:17 PM
The Warcraft Systems Team has published a blog on important 6.2 itemization changes:
Loot item levels from Hellfire Citadel are different from past raids--they increase as you progress through the instance. This is so players killing a late-zone boss do not risk disenchanting most drops because people already have better gear from earlier bosses:
Hellfire High Council
drop ilvl 690 Normal, ilvl 705 Heroic, ilvl 720 Mythic loot.
drop ilvl 695 Normal, ilvl 710 Heroic, and ilvl 725 Mythic loot.
Fel Lord Zakuun
drop ilvl 700 Normal, ilvl 715 Heroic, and ilvl 730 Mythic loot.
drops ilvl 705 Normal, ilvl 720 Heroic, and ilvl 735 Mythic loot.
Hellfire LFR loot is ilvl 675 from earlier bosses and ilvl 685 from later bosses.
There have been tuning adjustments to ensure that gear with your attuned stats remains the right choice to equip.

There are also personal loot improvements:
Groups will receive a much more predictable number of drops when defeating a boss.
Set items will reliably drop in Personal Loot.
The overall rate of reward for Personal Loot has been increased.
The new Personal Loot UI shows what you've won to your entire group, so your party can share in the excitement.

First Look at Orgrim from Warcraft Film, Blizzard's Selfie Scavenger Hunt
2015/05/18 at 9:33 AM
has an exclusive first look at Orgrim, played by Robert Kazinsky, from the upcoming Warcraft film!
Some insights into how the character was created:
Orgrim’s likeness comes from the masterminds at Industrial Light and Magic, who took concept art from Blizzard Entertainment—creators of the massive World of Warcraft videogame franchise on which Jones’ film is based—and merged it with photographs and scans of Kazinsky to create the orc.
Is this what you'd expect Orgrim to look like? Warcraft is live in theaters June 10, 2016.
