Macros & Addons
Every race except for Goblin and Worgen can play a Monk.
Monks can use Fist Weapons, 1H Axes, 1H Maces, 1H Swords, Polearms, and Staves.
Iconic Mistweaver Monk abilities:
Mastery: Gust of Mists
also cause a gust of healing mists, instantly healing the primary target for a % of your Spellpower, scaling with how much Mastery rating you have on your gear.

Vestments of Enveloped Dissonance
Renewing Mist has a 1% increased chance to increase the healing of your next Vivify.
Vivify heals your primary target for 25% more, and Essence Font's heal over time duration is increased by 2 sec.
Tier 20 set:
Essence Font has a 40% chance to grant Surge of Mists, reducing the cost of your next Enveloping Mist by 75%.
When you consume Surge of Mist, your healing done is increased by 12% for 10 sec.
Tier 21 set:
Two piece bonus:
When you gain the Blackout Kick! effect, the damage of your next Blackout Kick is increased by 150%.
Four piece bonus:
When you consume Blackout Kick!, you have a 100% chance to generate 1 Chi.

What Makes Mistweaver Special
Mistweaver are masters of the art of healing mists. Using their restorative powers to aid their allies.
Mistweaver Monks use mana as their resource. Using mana, they are able to use abilities such as
Monks have fantastic mobility. Just to name a few mobility abilities they have are
Mistweaver Monks have a few strong healing cooldowns.

Mistweaver monks are very versatile healers, not needing to change talents to fill a niche.
Peak of Serenity
is a special Monk-only area reachable via
. This area has Monk trainers and many lore-flavored NPCs, as well as quests that teach you the importance of various abilities.
Monks have many vanity glyphs:
Glyph of Rising Tiger Kick
changes the color of Rising Tiger Kick, and
Glyph of Crackling Tiger Lightning
changes the color of Crackling Jade Lightning.

Role of a Mistweaver in Raids
Healers generally have niche roles that they tend to fill. Mistweavers fill a sort of jack-of-all trades position, where they can either comfortably heal the tanks with

Mistweavers have a versatile toolkit. You will have appropriate answers to most healing situations without needing talents to back you up, and it will be up to you to make the correct decision. This guide will not tell you exactly how to react in each and every situation, but it will provide you with the information you need to make those decisions yourself.
Patch 7.2.5 Changes
In Patch 7.2.5 (which includes the release of the Tomb of Sargeras raid instance), Mistweavers have undergone lot of tuning and some mechanical changes.
All healing spells have been buffed by 4%.
Penalties on Melee Damaging Abilities have been removed/lessened.
Rising Sun Kick
buffed by 14.29%.
buffed by 13.64%.
Spinning Crane Kick
buffed by 13.33%.
Now has a 12 second cooldown.
Each bolt heals for 135% Spell power, up from 110% Spell power.
The HoT lasts 8 seconds baseline, gaining an additional tick of healing, up from 6 seconds.
Able to channel the spell while moving now baseline.
Thunder Focus Tea
to channel 100% faster.
Mana cost reduced to 7.2%, down from 8.0%
Healing buffed to 300% Spell power per target, up from 275% Spell power.
Mana cost reduced to 4.0%, down from 4.5%.
Refreshing Jade Wind
Duration and Cooldown increased to 9 seconds, up from 6 seconds. Both still reduced by Haste.
Total ticks per cast increased to 13, up from 9.
Radius increased to 10 yards around the Monk, up from 8 yards.
Mana cost reduced to 3.5%, down from 5.0%.
mana cost reduced to 5.2%, down from 6.0%.
absorb increased to 4200% Spell power, up from 3116.4% Spell power.
healing increased to 150% Spell power per ally hit, up from 86.7% Spell power.
Rising Sun Kick
mana cost reduced to 1.5%, down from 2.0%.
Soul of the Grandmaster
talent baseline, allowing us to effectively take two talents in the Level 45 row.
Doorway to Nowhere
cast to have a 20% chance to
Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane
for 15 seconds. More than one Chi-Ji can be summoned at once.
