This appears to be from an achievement for doing The Longest Day. Would be interesting to know if it came from other sources as well, and charges.

Is it supposedly a different stone than Flawless Battle-Stone? Because I fail to see the difference between those too except this one is BoA and the other isn't.

I just did the achievement and haven't received my stone. Anyone else have the same problem? The achieve took all day, and only worth 10 points. It feels like a huge waste of time at this point.

Edit: My ticket was finally answered. And all the GM said 'We are aware of the problem regarding the achievement 'The Longest Day' not properly rewarding the marked flawless battle-stone. I can confirm that you have completed the achievement. Thanks for letting us know, and we are working on it." And nope, I didn't get the stone mailed to me.

UPDATE: I finally received my stone today in the mail. I hope the GM's can be more uniform in their replies. Doesn't seem fair some are being told no one is being mailed the stones and they have to wait, while other's are getting them mailed out. Hang in there guys :).

Wow, been at this for about 6 hours now. Granted I could've done it a lot faster, but I was trying to level pets/ capture new ones etc at the same time. It is now 1:30 in the morning and I've got at least 6 masters left in Pandaria, to say nothing of the multiple fights they snuck into the books of fable (didn't notice those little 'gems' buried in the achieve list til I was neck deep in it). That said, Dos-Ryga is frickin impossible so I give up. You HAVE to have a trick combo against him. I lack a high level Sunny Day pet so that's that. They nerfed Life Exchange by reducing the legendary pets' HP pools. But they were sweet enough to give them a flatout 50% damage reduction across the board. And that stupid fish basically has a 3 round Lay on Hands. So neat stuff. NEAT STUFF. I'M GOING TO BED!

Done the achievement, but like others, no Marked Flawless Battle-stone, i wonder what is so speciale about it, all battle-stones are BoA now, and even if they were not , all my caracters have acces to the same pets, so whoever finds a stone can upgrade any pet. Except for horde pets when your alliance and vice verse. Hoping to hear from a GM soon.

If you didn't receive the stone after completing the achievement, ticket at GM and they will mail it to you. Just received mine.

I have a question about the stones, I know it might sound like a stupid question and I should of been able to find the answer some where in the world wide web, but, not exactly what I was looking for.

If you have a "Blue" Quality pet, and you use a Stone on the "Blue" quality pet, will it Upgrade the pet?

Not sure how Ruiru got not only a response, but the Battle Stone already. From what I can tell everyone is still waiting for a fix on this.

My boyfriend had talked to a GM earlier today and the GM had informed him that they are working on a fix, and they're hoping (no promises) that by the next reset, it will be fixed. The GM said that's also when everyone will get their stones in the mail. So I'm not sure how someone got theirs when we were told nobody will get theirs till it's fixed. If they could possibly explain what it exactly does, that'd be cool. When we asked the GM what the stone does, he said he believes it just upgrades any pet to rare. Didn't say if it's any different than the regular Flawless Battle-stones that we can already get. Hope this post helps.

In case anybody is wondering, this IS just a normal battle-stone. It is not reusable or anything like that.

just spoke with a GM and well ill let the chat talk for it self , but getting the marked flawless battlestone are idd a bug atm, so if your dooing this ach. send a ticket if you dont get the stone. look at the screen shot its explained there and also it explained if you can get more of these stones..........

I really, really wish this thing was more special. Something like a 7-day (or even 30-day!) cooldown but not consumed on use. But, I guess guaranteeing one rare pet, any rare pet, is a decent benefit when most of the actual work for doing the achievement gets you rewards along the way (Since you get bags and therefore possibly stones from all the grandmasters and each Beasts of Fable daily).

I had an issue with this as well. I spent the entire day trying to get this achievement and then no reward. I put in a ticket and 24 hours later I received the reward. Most of the bags I received had battle stones in them. This was kind of a lame reward.

Well I guess I'm glad some people are getting Battle Stones from bags & battles. I haven't gotten any in the last 2 or 3 months of daily battles, prior to that 3 or 4 a week.
Finally got The Longest Day achieve today but not a single Battle Stone.
I've gotten 1 Flawless Battle-Stone & accidentally used it on the wrong pet, so I wasn't too surprised to not get the Marked Battle Stone.
The RNG Gods are perverse & contrary :D

Players are now able to trade in any 3 of the same family specific Flawless Battle-Stones for a single Marked Flawless Battle-Stone. In 5.4

Now you can trade any 3 of the various pet family Flawless Battle-Stones for one of these. For Alliance go to Audrey Burnhep in SW to trade your stones in, and I'm sure hordies have a matching trainer in Orgrimmar that does this service too.

As of 5.4, this is a variant of the Flawless Battle-Stone that can be "purchased" by trading in 3 Battle-Stones of a single type.

There are 10 item versions, one for each of the pet families, but they are all functionally identical.

The stones are available at your major city's Pet Trainer:

Audrey Burnhep (Stormwind 69.4, 25.1)

Use these for Flying, Critter, and Beast if you're changing in three others at the trainer. While it can be used for any type, these types are the ones with the most pokemon in them which are sure to need upgrades. I only use mine to upgrade Flying, changing in every Stone type except Critter and Beast because I find I have just enough of these.

I find Undead Stones, Aquatic Stones, Elemental Stones, and Mechanical Stones to be of the least use, and I change these in first. Undead are crappy in general, losing far too much in utility to compensate for their overpowered racial. Not too many good Aquatics you'd need to upgrade, either (though I do recommend having a speed-breed Mongoose at your disposal). All the good Elementals come rare, and though Mechanicals are tough, they tend to come rare too or at least be able to be caught rare. (Invalid if you have an Unborn Val'Kyr or Fluxfire Feline or even a Robo-Chick in need of an upgrade.) The remaining types fall somewhere in the middle.

Magic Stone: Useful for Broom. Upgrade, level, and sell. They're hot in PvP right now and sell well. If you want a rare Wyrmling, that's cool, despite it not being of too much practical use. (Closest I can get to a mana wyrm hunter pet, so I'll take it.)

Dragon Stone: Useful for Dragonhawks. These may not sell well or be favoured for PvP but I find them very useful and you can't get them in rare without upgrades. The Dragon-type buff now being applied after an enemy goes down past 50% (instead of 25%) helped Dragonhawks immensely. You can now burn your opponent down to half and high-hit with a burning Conflagrate, likely finishing the enemy off. (I also find the wild cloud serpent hatchlings extremely hard to find in rare.)

Humanoid Stone: Useful for Guardling, and Kun-Lai Runt, and Flayer Youngling since all of these have very optimal breeds and two of them have roughly sixty breeds to choose from. Catching for the good breed and not having to worry about it being rare saves you hair-tearing here.

This is by no means a comprehensive list; it's more of a jumping off point if you're thinking about changing three of your family-specific Stones for one Flawless Marked Stone.

This Battle-Stone can now be bought with 3 Celestial Coins. I think this is way too expensive! I spend hours in that tournament every week, and then only getting one Battle-Stone every 3 weeks? It should cost 1 Celestial Coin, not 3.

As of 6.0.1, Marked Flawless Battle-Stones can now be purchased from your garrison's Battle Pets vendor for 15 Shiny Pet Charms, which are collected from the dailies offered from the Grand Master Pet Tamers of Draenor (4 each per day) or from the Menagerie Level 1's dailies: Battle Pet Roundup for the Alliance and Scrappin' for the Horde (8 per day).

As of 6.1 pets above lvl15 no longer risk to lose up to 2levels when using this stone!

As of 6.1 these battle stones appear to no longer remove 2 pet levels when applying them to a pet above level 15, at least that was my experience today after purchasing one of these from Lio the Lioness and applying it to an level 23 beast pet.

Just wanted to add a comment on how to acquire these. Keep an eye on all the pet battle world quests, this pops up as a reward from time to time, and is repeatable by every alt who has world quests unlocked for that particular zone.

I've always looked at these, and thought "why are these called 'marked', when they're usable on any pet type... surely they're therefore UNmarked?"

Is there an explanation anyone can give that makes sense as to why these are thusly named marked and not unmarked?

Seems to me the markings would be more for the pet-specific stones, right?

Beware, with changes of 10.0 you can now target pets in your collection and make the rare without having to summon them... BUT make sure you have no pet as your target as it will upgrade them EVEN if they are Rare! I was unlucky to have wasted 3-4 stones like this as I was trying to target one of my pets in my collection and I was wondering why would it not get upgraded only to find out I had a targeted summoned pet (target frame hidden behind collection menu). Sadge :(

Ok, be very careful. i just made the mistake of using 2 on the same battle pet. I summoned a green battle pet to upgrade, target the pet and click on the upgrade stone in my bags: pet is rare quality now. I select the next pet in battle journal and use the next stone to upgrade the other green pet. Huge fail, i forgot to click the summon button and use the marked flawless battle stone on the same pet..Don't make this mistake like i did. It's just weird blizz allows you to do this, it should have said like: ''you can't upgrade, because pet this pet has reached maximum quality'' This was an expensive mistake >.<
