Just got it on live - It shares animations with hawkstriders, aka idle animations and runnings.

Finally got one of these glorious mounts on my tauren paladin. So wrong, yet so right.

It shares all animations and sounds with the hawkstrider mounts, which is a bit disappointing, even though they are pretty awesome.

The following tallstrider mounts exist in the game so far:

Swift Forest Strider - Obtainable from the revamped Darkmoon Faire monthly event, costing 180 Darkmoon Prize Tickets
Swift Lovebird - Obtainable during the Love is in the Air holiday event, costing 270 Love Token
Swift Shorestrider - Obtainable during the Noble Garden holiday event, costing 500 Noblegarden Chocolate
Swift Shorestrider - Loot Card from the "Throne of the Tides" TCG series

I've just received this little beauity. It's a really cute mount, and will be quite rare, seeing that the majority is getting their dancing bear first.

However, the legs clip terribly at the neck / wings area. Especially If your character is wearing a kilt, the dress goes right through the mounts neck. Here's to hoping that blizzard will look into this.

If you want to see what the new birds look like go to battle.net...log in and see your "not collected mounts" there is no picture to start but if you mouse over you can see previews for each one...Springstrider is white, Swift Lovebird is Pink, Shorestrider is Blue, and the Foreststrider is purple...

Pretty simple to get within one week of the DMF , I got it the first week of DMF on the PTR very simple to get.

OK guys get this failure.

I got on with 83 tickets.
I turned in the Grisly Trophies quest
I finished the Professions Quests
I did the dailies
I looked in the AH for the Artifacts
Got all the Artifacts
Turned them in for a mass amount of tickets
I logged out with 178 Tickets.

Two tickets away...

MoP is coming, and mounts are going Account Wide. I made a little list of mounts, so you can show off how epic you are, starting at levels as low as 20. This list is meant for mounts you can achieve in-game without buying them from the Blizzard Store, as all of those can be used at 20. I have not included the TCG mounts, as those don't really show, "Feats of Strength" either.

There are, of course, all of the capital city faction mounts as well.

Recruit a Friend, Scroll of Resurrection, and Big Blizzard Bear mounts are all usable at 20 as well.

Coming in Patch 5.1, there are plans for a small companion version of this mount. The Darkmoon Hatchling, Darkmoon Hatchling (item will exist when 5.1 drops) is planned to be added to Lhara in exchange for 90 Darkmoon Prize Tickets.

Does this mount not count towards We're Going to Need More Saddles ? I was one mount away before learning this mount, and it didn't trigger the achievement.

Edit: Odd, I guess closing WoW fixes it, if my mobile armory is to be believed.
