If you're in the Dor'Danil Barrow Den, killing loads of Severed Druids and wondering why you can't find Diathorus, then you'll need to move. He's one of many demons in a separate den located on the Demon Fall Ridge. You can get there by going up a path just above the lake in Nightsong Woods. The path begins around 79,74. Good luck!

I was looking quite long on how to get there. The above comment telling the coords 79,74 helped me out. Ok, here is the full description:
The monster (Diathorus the Seeker) that drops this is in a cave, underground. The entrace is at 78.4/81.6. There are two ways to get there:
a) from Nightsong Woods (safest way, but slightly more difficult to find)
- 79.7 / 75.7 over the mountain
- 81.4 / 78.0 junction with the other way
- 80.9 / 80.2 entrance to Demon Fall Ridge
- 78.4 / 81.6 entrance to cave
b) from Demon Fall Canyon (you probably need to go there anyway for other quests)
- 84.2 / 72.0 entrance to Demon Fall Canyon
- 82.9 / 78.0 way up the hill to Demon Fall Ridge
- 81.4 / 78.0 junction with the other way
- 80.9 / 80.2 entrance to Demon Fall Ridge
- 78.4 / 81.6 entrance to cave

If following numbers on a map was helpful, people wouldn't need instructions at all. Here's how to find the place:

As you walk south into Demon Fall Canyon, you'll encounter a fork in the road. The path to your left goes straight east, to Gorgannon. The one on your right leads southwest. As you travel southwest along that path, you'll notice at least one glowy orange-red beacon to your right (i.e., on the northwestern side of the canyon). These beacons mark the path up Demon Fall Ridge to the cave that you're looking for. If you had to return to town for whatever reason after killing Gorgannon, you should take the alternate route. Go to the bridge that you probably crossed on your way into and out of that area. To the immediate south of this bridge is a lake, and to the immediate south or southeast of that lake is a narrow dirt path. The dirt path will take you to the cave that you need to find. Beware, though; there are some hostile tree monster things under the surface of that lake.

First kill Gorgannon for Gorgannon's Flaming Blade then find the Barrow Den with Diathorus the Seeker for Seeker's Fel Spear.
