"Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp is what is purchased using tickets to allow you to buy these mounts, available in both normal and epic version. This mount is rideable by all races. The normal version is the Brewfest Ram. These items cannot be purchased unless you had purchased and turned in the "Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp (which can no longer be purchased) in 2007. This is the only way to have obtained the non-epic ram, but the Swift version now drops from Coren Direbrew.

Just got my hands on this one. And I gotta say, I love Rams! Specially now that I'm horde and all. People don't seem to understand that this is the real mount, as it looks just like the Ram quest Rams.

Thou, it could also be becouse people didn't think it was possible to farm it in just one day, which infact was true.

I'm confused, can you purchase both or only one of these mounts after you acquire 600 tickets? I'd assumed it just let you open up a vendor that wasn't available before and you shop as normal... I wanna get them both to replace my fugly kodos ...

You can buy both mounts. All the quest does is lock up a vendormenu on Driz Tumblequick.

So the tickets arent used as currency for the rams themselves, just an item that allows access to the purchase page. Do you lose it after you buy a ram?

Also, does anyone happen to know if the venor will be there after the brewfest is over? Like the AQ event NPCs are still hanging around.

Upon purchasing the Swift Brewfest Ram instead of acquiring a rental ram for your dailies you attain a "Ramstein's Swift Work Ram".

I know some roleplayers have kicked up a fuss about this ram, but I love it on my Undead priest - it's added a whole extra dimention to my character's fall to the Scourge and redemption as an undead priest; now I can tell the tale of finding my long-lost faithful mount from my days as a Human :)

the alliance was screwed over. the horde atleast HAD a chance to get a ram. But the alliance just gets rams, wich we already had. We should have a chance to get kodos. we were screwed over big time.

The Horde dont even have there raptor trainers implemented in game yet your winterspring trainers are, If you call that fair then your idiots. Alliance have it so much better than horde. I can't go around shattrath without seeing night elves and gnomes riding around on kael's chicken and it makes me sick at how easy it is to get, Horde have no such luck. Baron's horse is a sucky droprate indeed it is but still overall things are by far better for alliance than it is for horde. Stop QQing about not getting a kodo it was never confirmed by blizzard it was merely assumed by alliance players. Enjoy brewfest anyway i'm sure the phat epics will make you go to it.

This mount can now drop in Blackrock Depths from the boss Coren Direbrew.
You simply run into the instance and if you go right there's a teleport to the bar where the boss is.

Neither the Brewfest ram or the Swift Brewfest ram are available to purchase as of 2008, instead they can drop off the boss Coren Direbrew in BRD.

I think this is blizzards way of spanking the WoW community for kicking up such a fuss last year and when they whispered about the kodos.

The mount can no longer be bought for tickets during the brewfest event (as of 2008).
Instead, hops can be bought to temporarily transform your mount into a brewfest ram (if alliance) or brewfest kodo (if horde) until you dismount. Fresh hops are temporary (last 7 days then poof if not used) and cost 5 Brewfest Prize Tokens. Preserved Hops are not temporary and can last forever in your inventory until used, cost 20 Brewfest Prize Tokens.

There is also Fresh Goblin Brewfest Hops for alliance and Fresh Dwarven Brewfest Hops for horde that players can buy for 5 Brewfest Prize Tokens to temporarily transform their mount into the one from the opposite faction (kodo for alliance and ram for horde). No preserved version of these ><.

Blizzard change this so you have to kill Coren Direbrewa in blackrock spire
he is a massive pain plus the adds keep on coming this is impossble to kill..
unless you have a aswome group.. meaning they doing the high end dugeons...
now tell me why anyone at high end pve would want a crappy epic or mount?
my bro guild did it and loled at what droped and left..........plust the worst thing is the ram and kodo drop rate its so low....and your have to fight who gets its...omg unfair..rather aim for raptor mount//

hm, strangely enough i can still buy the rams from http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=24510 i did the quest last years brewfest and bought mount then, but as today 20 sept 2008 i can still buy a mount from him. i bought the blue mount to test it just worked normaly

If you are under 65, you are screwed and can't get the ram this year. Have to be at least 65 for the quest to go to BRD to get this ram. Way to screw over people with the riding skill that are 60-64. -sigh- Maybe I can get from 62 to 65 before brewfest ends.

Ran with 4 guildies and a RL friend, 1st 2 turn ins and 4th one dropped the Ram mount we were like woah 2 drops then a 3rd? I had a mount from buying from last year, so we ended up leaving the place with 3 happy people and their mounts and 1 disappointed warrior.

Also yes if you bought the mount from last year you have the option to buy em again this year, the slow one and the fast one is offered to me still again.

How To Farm the Brewfest mounts

Requires:
- A party of no more then 4: Warlock, Tank, healer, & Add control
- Warlock should come with at least 10 soulshards in his inventory for summons

Objective:
Your group will basically be set out to gear lowbies for welfare epics, while farming for the mounts.

How to Execute:
- Assign the most trusted in the group with Master Looter
- Type /who 65-69 to see who is available out there
- Ask them if they would like a shot at free loot with a summoning ready
- Once summoned spam a macro that states the terms and conditions, that anything is theirs but the mount because your group is farming for it
- Mark quest giver with Star and Boss with Skull and make a macro to tell them how to start the fight
- The Warlock should take a Soul shard from Coren from every fight so that he never runs out
- Kill the boss, remove the lowbie from group after he gets his loot, tell him thank you for coming, wash and repeat.

Personal Thoughts:
Once everyone knows the fight it goes fast enough, and lowbies are usually thrilled for the invite even when they don't receive the mount. In the past 3 days of the festival I have killed Coren over 80 times, seen Kodo drop on 4 occasions, and the Ram once and now have both of them.

This mount drops off of Coren Direbrew in Brd it dropped for me after killing him about 25+ times i won it :) the koto how ever also dropped it during the 30 kills times i killed him it dropped twice i lost :( as a horde i like the ram because that's the ONLY type of ram horde can get anyone can get a koto from rep or pvp i think it has a 2% drop rate but im not really sure.

I grinded for the ram and kodo this night, and got them both. I was luckey to win both, but drop chance should'ndt be that bad. I killed the boss around.. uhm.. 20-30 times or so. 1 ram, 1 kodo and 2 remotes dropped.
These two mounts is awesome to /flex with :D

I just got this from BRD alliance side, and so far 3 people have noticed.
One says, "wow are you so nooby you bought the hops that didn't turn your mount into a kodo? LOL!"

Another one says, "Hmm so the ram dropped, really unlucky one aren't you..."

And the last one said, "Where did you get that?"

Its amazing how little people think of the mount that used to be a ridiculous grind.

Dropped on my 10th kill and I was lucky enough to win the roll.

No Kodo or remote or summonables or dagger dropped in my 13 kills so far, 1 healer trinket and at least 2 or more on the other trinkets.

Also, it is 4-man'able, as long as you've tank and heal. We had one of our dps disconnected and we just play it slow and careful. None of us are particularly out geared.

To sum up the comments for those wanting a single read:

Acquisition:

It is no longer possible to simply buy the Ram from Driz Tumblequick (Horde)/Pol Amberstill (Alliance). UNLESS you bought an "Honorary Brewer" Hand Stamp from the 2007 Brewfest; in which case you may talk to either of the above NPCs and buy one.

You now must go into Blackrock Depths after acquiring the quest Save Brewfest where you will defeat Coren Direbrew for the quest Insult Coren Direbrew. The quest "Insult Coren Direbrew" is REQUIRED to initiate confrontation with him and HOPEFULLY result in the drop of either Swift Brewfest Ram or the Great Brewfest Kodo.

After the first encounter it will become a daily quest obtainable after every server rollover. It is obtained from the spy in BRD where you initially turned in "Save Brewfest"

The drop rate on the rams and kodos seems to be ~10%.

I kept track of all drops from 55 runs I tanked. Our groups saw 5 mounts drop, 3 rams and 2 kodos, I won the 5th which was a ram. It's a neat looking mount, with green glowing eyes, so maybe he's mana addicted like my Blood elf who knows X)

Also...as a note to people...if you win one of the Brewfest mounts..don't be greedy and bid on another! Don't you think other people would like a chance at one too? Oi.

Why do no Allince seem to want this? I know you can get rams in more than one other way but this one looks the best out of all of them. Plus, it will make it easier to complete the mount achievements come TBC. Personnaly I love this mount.

As wowhead seems to have picked up, around patch 2.4 they moved the ram to a drop from Coren Direbrew from the event. (Same NPC you kill to get kodo mount)

If you did the old quest chains where you get the stamp back in 2007 (possibly 2008 as well, missed that years brewfest), you CAN BUY the RAMS, at the goblin beside the one that does the racing ram daily. For those who care :P

You CAN'T buy this mount anymore. You need to obtain it by doing the Brewfest boss daily. You can do this once a day, and you need to do it in Blackrock Depths. Get a group of 5 (level 80's would be recommended) and if one of them has the remote, use it to get everyone to the boss area. Speak to the Brewfest Spy in the room, marked with a blue "Daily Quest" exclamation point. If you have a group of 5 and not everyone has done this, you will get 5 tries to kill the boss (1 quest per person). The drop rate isn't so bad and just keep killing until you get the ram!

This mount dropped for my group today on our 5th summon. On the 4th summon, we saw the Tankard O' Terror. The player who won the mace said it was nice, but he'd prefer the mount. I won the mount and he offered to trade me the mace and 1,500 gold. I declined.

Just won this on my druid with a 98 roll, now I've gotten both the mounts on my druid. This was the second time I seen the ram drop today, once on my druid and once on my paladin.

It does feel like the drop rate of the mounts is up this year. In about 35 or 40 kills so far, I've seen two kodos and the ram I won. Last year, in ~100 kills, I didn't see any mounts. But it could simply be better luck, of course.

In my experience the droprate on these mounts can be very low indeed, I've done this event every day (except 2) since it became available at the 2007 brewfest, and I never saw the Kodo or the Ram drop once.

According to wow.com since 2010 3.3.5 Brewfest mounts will now be looted from a "once a day" bag given by q'ing for this boss, so no need to roll against other people, also you can q all the times you want for the other epics.

No Kartlen you CANNOT get it from killing Coren Direbrew, but you can be lucky and get them in the keg of the day.

No longer do you need to find people to group up to obtain this mount, you can now use the dungeon finder to look for a group. Once your group is found you will instantly spawn to Coren Direbrew. If you group is able to kill him you will each be able to obtain Daily Reward, which is a Keg shaped treasure Chest which will still allow you to obtain one of the mounts. This can only be done once a day!

The only way to get the permanent epic Brewfest mounts (the Swift Brewfest Kodo or the Swift Brewfest Ram) at this point in time, is from the keg that Coren Direwbrew drops from the first run you do per day of the Coren Direbrew run (only through your group finder tool). Subsequent runs will give you a chance at the trinkets and the other drops but no keg drops.

The badges and gold are also in the keg drop so you only get these once per day from him too.

I think the drop rate is higher than 1.6% or im just really lucky. yesterday i did the coren direbrew dungeon and got the daily keg, when i opened it i found 2 frost emblems as i was expecting but i i wasnt expecting to see th Swift Brewfest Ram. I was so happy with myself. I just did the same dungeon again today and to my surprise i now have another Swift Brewfest Ram. Unfortunately its soulbound and i cannot donate it or sell it and i must bring myself to writing delete and pressing ok.

Got it on September 3 and was happy, What i realized when I recieved the mount is how much people who try and do not recieve the mount. So what if you only got 1 mount, there are many people who tried last year and never got it, you should be appreciative of what you have, if your alt is luckier than ur main then make ur alt ur main, just stop complaning that ur main never gets the mount, at least one of your character has the mount

Just confirming that if you got the handstamp in 2007, you can still buy this mount from your faction-appropriate Ram Racing Apprentice in 2011; you'll need 100g, no faction bonuses apply.

I had one character which had bought this ram in 2007 & I've just bought them the regular ram; I've also got another character that was only just lvl40 during the event in 2007 so they'd only bought the now highly-sought regular ram, and they've just bought this epic one - they'll never use it, but they're my 100 Mounts toon so they need it anyway ;)

How bizarre that a mount I bought on a whim could eventually turn out to be so rare!

I have the ram on a healer alt from the first Brewfest when you could just purchase it. My tank main has the kodo from last year but I've been unlucky at getting the ram to drop. I'm curious if they gave you the option to choose the mount you receive, which one would be more popular.

Personally, with flying in Azeroth I really wish they added a Brewfest flying mount. I like Brewfest, it's my favorite world event, I just wish they would do more to update them then simply changing the specs on drops. I have the new keg pony, but other than the ram there isn't much incentive to do the dailies.

Other than a flying mount, I would love some Brewfest armor pieces. Like a Brewfest cloth, leather, mail, and plate piece so each class has it's own unique armor piece.

I have still had no luck with either Brewfest mount yet my husband and our 2 friends we play with already have both mounts and one friend and my husband have even had duplicate mounts. I think the way these mounts are aquired should definately be changed or revamped in some way. The fact that 2 mounts now have dropped that were only useful for being destroyed seems pretty wasteful to me, especially when I could have taken them as I don't have the mounts. Even something that prevents a player who already has the mount from recieving it a second time as A) it's a waste of an epic mount and B) it would give others who don't have the mount a better chance of getting it. Just a thought!

Two years of work have been completed this day...
I finally got this mount, today. I had to get about 3 daggers, 500 tokens, and grinding everyday for the mount for the past two years.

Moral of the story: keep trying but don't expect it, ever... if you expect to get the mount you never will get it.

(My first thought was: Celebrate on wowhead!)

I agree BoE would be nice; I know many people who got this mount more than once, or on multiple toons, but I have run Coren every day during Brewfest on three toons and basically have a mountain of Brewfest prize tokens to show for it. Oh, and the nice daggers...on my two non-rogue toons! Sigh :)

Im surprised that nobody has mentioned anything about the pvp potential for these mounts. For instance, as a horde member I use this mount all the time, and the brief second or two of confusion that it buys you is every bit worth it. As it is one of the only 2 rams available to the horde (the other being the regular brewfest ram that few have), it can work similarly to the orb of deception in pvp...

And yes, i know that there is still a red name above my head, cos i know someone will downrate this comment if i dont mention that too...

Does this have a lower drop rate than the Kodo for Horde? Last brewfest I had two kodos drop (on the same character unfortunately, trying to get both mounts on him), but not one ram. And I've seen a few people riding kodos but never anyone riding a ram.

I wonder if something changed about the drop rate on this mount in 2013. I got it on my very first shot at Coren Direbrew this year. I've probably done him 100+ times on various toons over the last few years and it drops NOW? Seems suspicious, but I'm not arguing!

I got mine today on my hunter right after our rude tank swore the ram didn't drop for the Horde.

Mother of downvotes! I can't help but wonder why. The Ram and Kodo dropped for both factions this year. There is confirmation of that. I suppose I ruined Brewfest of 6-7 people due to no mount drops? Regardless, in all of these events, keep trying. Something will come out of it.

I checked back this year, and the price is listed at 90 g. However it's still listed in the armory for 100 g. I'm thinking it might possibly have something to do with guild discounts.

It's funny the drop chance is that low. Got the kodo mount twice, not on the same charachter though, I have 2 lvl 90s. One day I got the kodo on my horde char and the very next day I got it again, just on my ally. Yesterday I got my ram mount as well. Either I am very lucky or than the drop chance isn't that low as it is told to be. Got 2 other items too this season and still 6 days back of this Brewfest Event 2013. Cheers!

About the 3rd or 4th time I've received the Ram overall. Wish I could trade it in for the Kodo, the elusive beastie. =P

Does anyone know if this is still available? I'm hearing from multiple people that it doesn't drop from Coren anymore but I don't ever recall seeing that (although I did quit WoW in 2008 and only came back post-MoP). Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me?

I am almost sure I know the answer to this. But can both mounts be looted by the same character? By the looks of it, the ram is alliance only while the kodo is horde.

Kodo is definitely not horde only -- I have 2 in the bags of my alliance characters atm, learned one, and I think I've deleted a few. Still haven't seen the ram yet, though.

First year running this dungeon for the mounts.... got the ram 3 times this year, once on each of my 90's. No kodo yet. Why blizzard, why?

Apparently, this mount is much harder to obtain than the Brewfest Kodo. Ran the Holiday Event every day with all 5 of my 90s; it dropped 9 Kodos, and no Rams. I dont care about the Kodo, I just wanted the Ram :(
