A good Guardian Druid build for a new-ish player involves a lot of the passive choices. For example:
A more experienced player trying to min-max their performance would opt for more active Guardian Druid talents. For example:
Tier 1 Talents
: Absorbs and reflects damage based on your attack power. Take for DPS or as a basic talent.
: Generates Rage every
tick. Take for long term cleave/AoE situations, or if you don't yet know how/when to min/max
: Generates Rage based on damage taken. Highest Rage generation potential. Take if you understand how the encounter or dungeon is going to flow and you can maximize effectiveness.
Tier 2 Talents
: Decreases cooldown and increases radius of Stampeding and Incapacitating Roar. Take if you need more or raid-wide
to fear affected targets instead of incapacitating them. This will typically cause them to remain CCed longer than they otherwise would. Strong for dungeon or M+ content.
: Charge towards an enemy and immobilize them (
). This will generally be the default talent.
Tier 3 Talents
: Gain some Balance abilities and increased range. Take for kiting or to be able to hit larger groups of mobs at once.
: Gain some Feral abilities and 15% movement speed. Take for extra speed or if you have the opportunity to swap to DPS during an encounter.
: Gain some Resto abilities and heal yourself periodically. Default survival talent.
Tier 4 Talents
: Single target stun. Generally the default talent.
: Roots many targets in place. Generally a bad talent except for some achievements. Avoid.
: Knockback and snare most enemies (some are immune) within 15 yards. Functions as a secondary interrupt.
Tier 5 Talents
