(( This is a true story taken from my play time on my Undead Death Knight, Morec, and is in no way related to my Light and Death character or series.))
-
This will be quick
, a lone undead Death Knight, Morec, slinked through the service tunnel that led from the Eastern Plaugelands to Elders' Square. A single Ghoul followed at his side. His name was Morec, and he was on a mission: to kill Baron Rivendare.
-
I have to move fast
, he thought,
before he become to aware of my presence
. He quickly moved up to the gate that barred him enterence from the city, and fit the key - which he had got on an erlier attempt - into it. He turned it and the lock came undone.
- "Intruders at the service gate!" Magistrate Barthilas yelled, "Baron Rivendare must be warned!" The creature then ran off further into the city. Morec scowled, not my day. He then lifted the gate up and turned to the left. The aura of power he exuded was enough to keep the mindless Scourge groups at bay, and he easily moved past them all to the gate the Wight had went through. It was locked as well, but the key opened the gate all the same.
- "Intruders! More pawns of the Argent Dawn, no doubt. I already count one of their number amongst my prisonsers. Withdraw from my domain before she is executed!"
-
Not a chance
, Morec thought, and then hurried on. Another gate barred his way, but only for a moment. He hurried inside, his Ghoul minion behind him, and immediatly was set upon by the undead in the Gauntlet. However his power was great, and he quickly destroyed them. Morec moved onto a nearby Ziggurat, a lone Nerubian stood at the top of its stairway. He hurried up it and engaged the creature, he and his pet making short work of it. He then hurried inside of the structure and killed the Cultists that channled their power into it.
- "An Ash'ari crystal has fallen! Slay the intruders!"
- Morec grinned.
This will be fun
, he then hurried off back into the fary of battle. He fought his way back through the streets to another Ziggurat, a single banshee stood at the top of it. He glanced over at his Ghoul and grinned. "Can't have her using you against me," he said, and then destroyed it. He engaged the ghostly elf soon after, and easily killed her. He then entered the building and repeated the process that he had done in the first.
- "An Ash'ari crystal has been destroyed!" a cry echoed through the city. "Stay true to the Lich King my bretheren, attempt to resummon it!"
-
Good luck with that
, Morec thought as he raised one of the fallen Cultists to serve as his new Ghoul.
- He cleared his way to the next Ziggurat, and killed everything in and around it. This time, Baron Rivendare yelled out, and he sounded worried. "All of the Ash'ari crystals have been destroyed! The Slaughter House is now vunerable!"
-
All according to plan
, Morec thought, and then cleared his way to the gates that led to the building, killing the Wight that had caused all of this trouble for him in the first place before continueing on.
- He made short work of the many abomonations surrounding the Slaughterhouse and then the Baron spoke to him again. "So you see fit to toy with the Lich King's creations? Ramstein, be sure to give the intruders a proper greeting."
- "Ramstein hunger for flesh!" a massive abomonation barrled out of the Slaughterhouse's Gates and attacked. But, like everything else Morec had encountered, it perished as well.
- Crys of rage then drew his attention, and he looked to the building's left, a gate had opened, allowing massive ammounts of mindless Scourge to pour at towards him. But his control over Death and Decay made short work of them.
- Moments later the door to the Slaughterhouse opened again, Rivendare's own Black Gaurd stormed out. "Who dares disturb our master?" He killed them too.
- "Time to take matters into my own hands. Come. Enter my domain and challenge the might of the Scourge!" The Baron issued a challenge, and Morec responed by attacking him in the next matter of seconds. The Baron summoned up a group of Mindless undead to serve him, but Morec barely blinked an eye and they were gone. Without his minions to help heal him, the Baron would die that much faster.
- Morec reached into his backpack and pulled out a vial. The Holy Water inside was the last he had, but it would make the fight go that much quicker. He threw it the Baron.
- Rivendare cryed out in pain as the liquid burned into his body, and Morec took advantage of the distraction. He jumped up, grabbed the runeblade out of the Baron's hands, and then decapitated him with it.

(( A continuation.))
- Morec broke the lock on a nearby cage and a human female walked out. "You've did it, you've slain Baron Rivendare! The Argent Dawn will hear of your valorus deed!" Morec paid her no mind, he grabbed the Baron's head off of the ground and threw it into his backpack, that was all the proof the Dawn would need.
- Then he glanced up at the skelital horse - former property of the Baron- then down at the Runeblade still clenched in his fist, and then back up at the horse. Then he grinned.
No sense in letting them go to waste
, he though.
- Still holding the Runeblade he climbed into the saddle of the steed, and spurred it into motion. He then road out of Stratholme with his newfound possesions, and into the night.
(( Thats right, both Rivendare's
Runeblade
and
Mount
are now mine. My days of doing
nothing
but farming Stratholme for it have finally paid off.))

Not bad writing. Some grammatical errors.
But, more importantly, congratulations on the blade AND the mount! That's awesome! :D

All I need to do now is take an epic screenshot.
yeah, I didn't send this one off to my editor, it was a make-up-as-you-go story. But it's based off of real events that happened to me.
And I didn't get them both in one drop, I would have gone into a coma from shock had that happened. Just thought I'd mention that.

Writer's Commentary:
- What I think sets this apart from other people talking about how they got Rivendare's mount is that its not just a "woot! I got the baron's mount you nubs!" its actually a semi-well written story. But nowhere near on par with Light and Death.
- I also hope to include other story's like this about my greater exploits. But those wont show up a regularly as Light and Death, mostly for the fact that I suck at WoW.
- What will my next great exploit on WoW be? And I can sense that fact that you don't even care through the computer, lol.
