I will be honest I have been playing a priest for about 2+ year. It is still my favorite toon. I leveled as holy.. yes I was stupid. But I have used Mind Soothe maybe about 20 times. I understand it can give priest a kind of "stealth" ability and it doesn't work against linked mobs nor would I expect it too.
Does it have any uses in PvP like decreasing the range of DPS or decreasing the range at which a unit can see stealth? The stealth issues is probably impossible since most units are only visible at a max of 4 yards, assuming same toon level.
Are there any uses for this spell in 5-10-25mans?

never tried it in PvP, but i believe it wont work, tho it'd be really awesome if it would.
for me i've used it alot when i cba to kill mobs to get to a certain elitemob for a quest or things like that. dont think you can use it in raids, but you can use it in 5man. for example you can use it in auchenai crypts and run past ~90% of the first part of the instance. pretty sure you can use it alot of other places aswell, for example mech.

Mind Soothe has no effect on players (except for the sap-like graphic effect, which may coax mages into waisting some mana trying to find the rogue, I suppose).
There is little use in 5 mans - skipping a group of mobs, but in the rare scenario that it gets resisted the mobs will be pulled and you may even wipe. I don't recommend using it in raids for exactly that reason.

= 0 you will detect enemies as close as ~6.5 yards range (only within the 270° arc in front of you; in the 90° arc behind you detect range is 2 yards, unmodified by anything).

Use it on Cpl. Noreg Stormpike to get into DB South without him aggro'ing you. He's easily the NPC in AV I hate the most. xD
