Wow isnt a boxing arena is it? ^^
But i agree that its cowardly and they should shrink them. It gotta be a pain for dps, atleast hunters who cant dps when people pillar hug -_-

It's not an exploit. It's a tactic. The term 'exploit' in your context implies abusing a flaw in the game design or programming. Blizzard put the pillars there
for a reason.
If they were to shrink them, someone would have less distance needed to become out of LoS.
There are no blatant pillars in battlegrounds, because battlegrounds have an objective; capture a flag, capture a node, take out towers/walls.
There are however some pillars in battlegrounds. I don't know how many times I've chased someone around the little building structures in AB, or EotS. You just don't care as much in a battleground because you've got a goal aside from simply killing that one person.
Seems like you're mad at stealth, and LoS... what class do you play?

And think about how fast a warrior would be cut down by a mage, or a mage by a hunter (just to name some things), if you didn't have LoS breakers. It's to balance things more and put some tact in a game instead of doing-the-most-dps-wins like so many people think pvp is about.. sorry folk's but it's NOT a raid. Ofcourse dealing out hell of alot of dps does help out alot, but I've seen things on youtube of low dps but highly skilled players taking out sick-f#ck-dps teams in about half an hour of "just running around pilars". I agree it's a bit lame, but hey, sometimes you just don't have another option if you want to stand a chance.

It also appears that the OP is a warlock... I'm sorry, but do dots not work when your target is out of LoS? It seems to me that a lock is the antidote to LoS issues... dot em up, and let em run.

Ya, if ever there was someone that needed to be LoS'd at the right time, it's a warlock.
Using LoS is vital for some classes. Specifically melee. You can't go toe to toe with a huntard in the middle of an open field and expect to kill him. Same as a warlock. You have to LoS fears in order to beat them. But, why you are chasing druids IDK. I would start spamming/controlling the dps rather than chasing the healer. He'll have to come out eventually if he wants to save his dps.

Pillar hugging raped my face in 1v1 skirmishing last night...Very good technique that I hope to better myself at.
Hehe, I've killed numerous mages on my pally by baiting them with a res while I'm LoS'd. This only works if your partner is close to a pillar tho. If he died out in the middle of an open area, you can't pull it off.

Meh i don't mind pillar humping that much (is a ret pally btw)
The only thing I hate is the Dalaran sewer boxes. There's not enough space behind there so i keep falling off ><

Pillar humping is essential to some classes, especially melee and healers. Sure its annoying, but its also annoying getting gunned down by some 'tard hunter because theres nothing between you and him but open space.
As a resto shaman I gotta admit I rely on those pillars alot, they are a great way to continually LoS lethal ranged dps such as mages and hunters (or a mana burning priest >.<). When I first started serious PvP (arena that is) I did not pillar hump.
The result: lost matches, many of them.
Get around the fact that I pillar hump, if your a warlock throw a curse of exhastion on me, or drop a frost trap around the pillar if your a hunter. There are ways to counter with this tactic just the same way I use it to counter ranged dps.
Dps have to learn to deal with pillar humping just the same way I learned to deal with them by pillar humping in the first place.
