Glyphs for a frost mage
Return to board index
I need Glyph advices for my frost mage. I am interested in PvP. My race is Human.
Personally I use Polymorph, Evocation, and Icy Veins.
Polymorph and Evocation are must-haves imo. Icy Veins is iffy...Having it as a snare removal is definetely useful at times, but in other situations it feels like a waste. Using it defensively to set up a quick shatter combo is good, but using to defensively only to get away from a rogue on the other hand, is a waste imo.
So if you're a gnome, skip out on IV glyph imo, but the only other pvp viable replacements are Frost Nova and Ice Block. FN can be helpful occasionally (not very often), and Ice Block is handy for sticky situations when you have a lot of melee pounding on you while blocked waiting to kill you.
please tell me, in which situations do u use glyph of polymoprh ? not sure how to use it.
Frost PvP, i run Molten, Evo, and WE. The way around the Ice block glyph is to just get used to using rank 1 ice barrier, if you get jumped by anything else than 2 melee, that glyph will not save you. IV like the OP said is wasted more than it is used, however that being said, it has saved my ass a few times. Poly is meh, 9 out of 10 times, your using it to stop a heal or a cast, not to lock down something someone else is obvioulsy attacking. The Frost nova glyph is useless, your Max rank FB and Icelance will still bust it glyphed or not glyphed.
Water Elemental, Evocation and Icy Veins are probably the best Major Glyphs for PvP.
Slowfall, Fire Ward, Frost Ward are the only good Minor Glyphs for PvP the rest are purely cosmetic.
I use glyph of polymorph because one of my 3's partner is a DK, personally.
Also, let's say you get a BF proc, and you have the FB dot going on a target and you need to sheep him now after a target swap. Pretty useful there.
