Ok, I've been frost forever now and I'm thinking about switching to Arcane. I watched some videos on youtube and saw the insaneeee damage arcane was putting out. I'm wondering what the spell sequence is, and what buff's/debuff's you have on when critting almost 9k.
Also this is for PvP.
I was thinking about going with a build something like this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=of0ichMIkxGzGtcdf

Spell sequence is something like
Slow-> arcane barrage -> fireblast/something else -> arcane barrage
and just alternate A.B and the other spell.
As for the talent build, I really really think you'll want Missile Barrage. When fully talented and when it procs you can do a great amount of damage in 2.5 seconds, meaning it will be over before arcane barrage is off the cooldown again.
I gotta disaggree about Missle Barrage, I love it.
As for the rotation, depends on who I'm fighting. If you CAN sheep a fat little choob somewhere, then.
Fireball - POM:Fireball - Barrage - Blast-barrage/missles.
Barrage crits around 3k generally for me, though if I'm lucky and clearcasting procs during a Missle Barrage, then it's not uncommon to see 5 airborne 1.5k critting missles followed instantly by another AB.
I say open with a fireball cause you can have that hitting and quickly following it up with a pom powered FB and AB, usually I can one shot people with that.
If sheep isn't viable, then yes, his spell rotation is dead on.

There no such thing as one build for pvp and pve in arcane.
If you wanna try PVP this built has worked wonders for me http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=ofxibzMcdcGuMtxdbZ0h
Focus Magic is there just for fun you can place the talent anywhere else you like
As for PVEhttp://www.wowhead.com/?talent=of0icz0IzxGuMted0x
An the rotation is Apply Slow Arcane Barrage => Fireball => Arcane Barrage Use Arcane missiles with Missile Barrage procs. Use PoM+AP+Fireball every 2 mins and only use Fire Blast while on the move.
The problem with the above PVE buld is that you need to have a lot of +hit since you don't get elemental precision.
