Macro Builder Addon/App
Return to board index
While i am more than capible of building macros since i am a coder, i can be pretty lazy/forgetful with many languages filling up my head, is there an addon or external app with synatax for macro command/script commands? I find it takes me ages since i have to bounce around sites to find all the commands i want/need.
Here's the WoW API:
Widget API is linked on that page, along with the lua library.
That link is Cogwheel's guide, which will basically tell you everything you could ever want to know (except some things, and then you ask on the
official UI&Macro forum
). His guide contains all the 'slash commands', and examples and descriptions of them as well as all the conditionals.
cheers, i think i have those bookmarked anyhew, i may just do a web app to do what i want so everyone can benifit from a GUI for designing macros.
I guess I'm not quite clear on what you're looking for, sorry.
That's something like a condensed, sometimes simplified version of Cogwheel's guide (is not a complete list, though).
hmm, ok rather than typing and looking up the syntax for the macro/script clicking buttons and the text is generated.
You mean an addon which essentially does something like what
or whatever other pro gramme you choose to use does for html (is this right?)
But then powerful though macros can be in world of warcraft there isn't a m,massive amount of stuff to memorize.
Oh.. well, as shoggy said there's not much to remember, and it's usually easy to look stuff up because of the nicely compiled and categorized API.
like.. 'I want a function here that returns information about this item in bag slot x,z', well you just look under the appropriate category in the wiki api library and there it is.
