Choosing profession for Fury Warrior
Return to board index
Year ago I stopped playing WOW and now I'm going to start playing it again.
I'm gonna create undead fury warrior but I have no idea which profession I would take.
Blacksmithing? Engineering? Alchemy? Any ideas?
Mining/skinning until 70.
After that you got some options.
-BS/mining could be interesting since you can craft 2 Wicked Edge of the Planes ( I don't think 2 Dragonstrike is a good choice since I am sure the haste buff can stack ).
-Eng/mining for DPS googles and motes farming
-Enchanting/mining or Jewel Crafting/mining to enchant/socket your gear and for the money.
It depends on the server you are...
Metals are mostly expensive in all servers... while Leather may vary a little... but Enchanting materials can sometimes exceed both Metal and Leather prices...
Disenchanting unwanted equipments will give you more bag space (you will stack your enchanting materials) instead of saving and selling them to NPCs, and also making you more money instead of putting them on AH if it's BoE, or waste you time and money depending of the quality of the item.
Adding that and the benefit of enchanting your own gear... makes Enchanting a good option for money/benefit at the same time.
Later on, if you find yourself with a lot of cash, and need options for your gameplay/fun... you can finnaly choose to drop your last gathering profession and pick Engineering, giving you all options of items (even making some other class skills available for Warriors), and crafting one of the best dps/tanking headgears and guns in the game... and you may also make some big cash farming mote clouds...
About BS for Fury, it doesn't have much to offer in early lvs... besides... the few good weapons are only available at the top skill lv, also needing the appropriate weapon craft specialization to use them... that may limit to some type of weapons of choice...
I say Mining/Skinning, or Herbalism/Skinning. As long as you keep your skills ahead of the content you can handle, you'll never have to worry about going back to skill up, thus losing time on your trek to 70. If you work the auction house properly, you will have the money for your L60 mount by the time you are ready to purchase your L40 mount, and you will have enough for your L70 Flying Mount by the time you are ready to purchase your L60 mount, so when you hit 70 you will have an extra 800-1.5k gold, depending on how you did while leveling up, and your servers auction prices.
You can then funnel all that money you don't need into whatever profession(s) you choose, as it will give you a hefty headstart. ^_^ Or just save for your epic flyer. It's really up to you. The best benefit of using the dual gathering professions is, you hit 70 with two professions @ 375, so if you choose blacksmithing/engineering, you already have mining capped, same goes for alchemy, etc etc.
If you are only interested in getting to 70 ASAP then i suggest this route:
Levels 1-69, Mining/Skinning
At level 70, sell all the leathers, etc for cash and drop skinning for jewelcrafting. Power level JC to 375 when you accumulate enough cash. The ap trinket and gems are super good for a dps warrior. You can decide if you want to drop Mining for Enchanting or blacksmithing or keep mining.
Jewelcrafting offers more bang for the buck IMO. Everything you craft you can use or sell for a reasonable profit. Enchanting is also good since you can enchant your own stuff and disenchant BOPs and soulbound stuff that you no longer need. "Enchanting" really is two professions in one. Blizzard couldve made that Enchanting and Disenchanting are separate professions.

No thx... it's already good the way it is...
I think Enchanting was made as a single profession on purpose, for good reason. Not one to start rumors, but I can fully understand enchanting going hand-in-hand with inscription -- it's a "feature" players have been asking about for a while.
Mine/BS is nice until 70, at which point it kinda sucks a bit.
Eng has awesome goggles and trinkets
JC has cheap gems! and good trinkets
Alch is great for leveling and raiding
I don't recommend taking two gathering professions, the money's good, but you'll spend it all power leveling your character in something else. Least thats my opinion.
Thank you guys! But I just started to play again and I discovered that I had not removed my account... Just frozen it! So I had not to create a new account and I'll continue with my old good Warlock! But still... Thanks!
