What options is there to increase size of pets right now?
Return to board index
I just got back to Wow after a long time (last time I played there were no expansion!).
I have always had this thing for the hunter because of the pet.
I have searched around looking for information on what to use to increase the size of the pet, but many of the information is years old, and could have been removed/changed since.
What I have find something about this far, please correct me if I'm wrong, and add any information you can.
- The pet gets bigger the higer lvl it is (though it's not a very big diffenrence?)
- The size of the pets might have something to do with which char you play (Tauron/Worgen pets are bigger than shorter chars' pets?)
Items to make it bigger:
- Kibler's Bits (Bigger for 20 minutes) I searched on AH, but couldn't find any.
- Pet Biscuit / Magical Pet Biscuit (makes a companion double the size) Maybe from an event? And I don't know about if it Works for Hunters pet.
Skills that make it bigger:
- Bestial Wrath (Lvl 40 Hunter) 50% bigger for 10 sec
- Heroism (Lvl 70 Shaman) 30% bigger for 40 sec.
- Time Warp (Lvl 84 Mage) 30% bigger for 40 sec.
- Ancient Hysteria (Lvl 20 Core Hound?) 30% bigger for 40 sec.
Does anyone know which of these still exist/Work?
And how they would stack?
I would think that I could use one type of food-buff, and maybe Bestial+Heroism/Time Warp and Ancient Hysteria?
Heroism and Time Warp share the same cooldown, so only one of those can be used as far as I could tell.
Any help and answers will be much appreciated!
Glad to be back to this epic game :D
Pet Biscuits are mini-pets only, not hunter pets. Ancient Hysteria is Bloodlust/Time Warp, so can't stack that too.
Yea okay, so if I had a core hound I would just use Ancient Hysteria, while all other pets would need the help of a mage og shaman for that same buff? :)
So the max would be at the most: Hunters skill + core hound/shaman/mage skill + Kibler's bits, if they still exist :)
That would mean a 50%, 30% and whatever the kibler's would give.
I will have to try and get the recipe for kibler's bits to see if it is still possible to make and use.
Thank you for your answer.
Pet size is a minimal difference between lvl 1 pet and lvl 90 pet.
Master size has no effect on pet size.
I dont think BL makes pet bigger. Confirmed - has no effect on pet, just master grows a bit.
As for kibler bits, I think i can make them. Confirmed. Still can make some.
Do they work? Cant check as my cooking character and hunter are on separate realms atm. I guess i could make a lvl 1 hunter or ask a random hunter from Balnazzar Eu to test it... but not at this ungodly hour.
Glyphed Misdirection on your pet (
) makes it really big.
I read about
on here not too long ago and have been doing some cooking dailies in Outland hoping for the recipe to drop. You can start doing the Shattrath Cooking Dailies and choosing the
Crate of Meat
to maximize your chance at getting this recipe to drop, or track somebody down that has the recipe, give them some stacks of Buzzard Meat & have some made for you. But honestly, do the dailies and select Meat, the drop rate for this and another recipe appear to have been "buffed" to the point that you probably can't do more than two dailies without getting the drop.
You aren't likely to find these on the AH, and the recipe binds on pick-up so you won't be seeing that there for sure... I checked and my Auction House Add-On hasn't tracked these being up for auction once in the past two years.
Note that Kibler's Bits is a food that you eat to increase your pet/minion's size, this "buff" will replace or be replaced by any other food buffs, like "Well Fed" stat boosts.
I don't know exactly how big you can make your pet stacking these three buffs (I'd recommend starting with a very large pet, like some of the bigger Silithids (
Buru the Gorger
), and using the LW drums to get the heroism/time warp boost if you're not in a party with a Shaman), but I know Blizzard has changed things so that effects that buff your toon's size no longer stack the way they used to. People used to be able to stand taller than the Auction House in the Valley of Strength after using a series of vanity transforms in the correct order, today you can't. I've got no idea if they somehow capped the size of pets as well, but they may have.
