Earthshield sniping >_<
Return to board index
Anyone think they might implement overlapping earthshield sometime in the future? I mean you can have multiple beacons on the same target. Nothing, well almost nothing, irks me more than having my ES constantly be replaced by another resto shaman's. I always look to see if there's another Rsham in the raid and then ask who they want to shield. But 9/10 times i get yelled at for putting my nose in where it doesn't belong. Is there anything to prevent/help this or is it just something to endure?
I dont think so. If you feel that communicating with fellow players is too hard just pick another target to put your shield on. It doesnt need to be a tank - it can be a top dps just as well or some other healer that isnt a shaman.
Certain mechanics are abusable and there is nothing that can be done about it. For example paladins could troll people by putting kings (which gonna overwrite whatever there was before) and than putting might which going to remove % stats of the raid.
Or hunter with perma aspect of the pack during the encounters.
I get what you're saying i usually will switch to the other tank, then someone in the raid but each time its replaced within 10 secs. I just get surprised at how many times it happens like this and wonder if the other shaman/s are trolling. I guess its just something i have to deal with but its gotten to the point where sometimes i dont bother with earthshield.
There are couple other options besides trolling:
You've overwritten someone elses shield.
Some people tend to switch the earthshield to whoever is taking damage atm isteand of sticking to one guy, so putting it on other tank wont work really.
Like I said, use the earthshield on something else (not tank). If its sniped there, than its just mean behaviour (not trolling).
it's only a problem with the 2pc.
the healing buff that boosts your heals works whether it's your ES or someone else's, and the actual ES heal is so small you can ignore it.
but with the 2pc, the absorbs are quite nice so you do lose out on a bit of healing done. i don't run LFR anymore, but when i did i often asked other shaman who they were going to ES, and never ran into any jerks like that - you must have had bad luck.
