Need Help with Fanfic Idea

I've had this idea for a fanfic for a while. It takes place in Northrend, but during MoP. While the Horde and Alliance are doing battle on the shores of Pandaria, a death knight by the name of Bloodblade has been recruiting undead followers in an attempt to rebuild the Scourge (note: seeing as the Knights of the Ebon Blade had enough sentience to rebel against Arthas, I thought it would make sense that Bloodblade and his followers could do the same against Bolvar Fordragon, but correct me if I'm wrong). His army, comprised of the most battle-hardened and bloodthirsty soliders the Scourge remnants have to offer, are initially able to quickly sweep across the continent, wiping out the remaining "living" outposts and military bases. However, the Argent Crusade is able to gather its forces and stage a counterattack, resulting in the largest conflict Northrend has seen since the fall of Arthas.
So, a couple questions:
1. Are there any fanfics out there with a similar premise? If so, what are they called and where can I find them?
2. What would be good names for a blood elf death knight and a tauren death knight? (their current names are Khaos and Trekk, respectively)
3. How long would it take for forces such as the Argent Crusade to respond to the new Scourge threat? What might their initial reaction be (other than "kill the undead")?
4. Would the dragons be able to enter the conflict? I'm not talking about Wyrmrest Accord-level of dragon intervention, just a handful of dragons (for example, I'm pretty sure
Valithria Dreamwalker
would have a bone to pick with the Scourge).
5. Is it possible for Frostmourne to make a reappearance? If so, how would it be reforged?
6. Are there still Venture Co. goblins in Grizzly Hills?
7. Regarding the point made above, what would Bolvar be able to do to stop or impede Bloodblade's progress, if anything?
8. Would the living nerubians be able to enter the conflict, or are there too few of them remaining for them to risk it?
9. Seeing as the Zandalari have been seen helping the Gurubashi and Amani tribes reclaim their old stomping grounds, would they be able/willing to do the same with the Drakkari?
10. Are there any other organizations with enough power to try and stand up against the new Scourge?

So, a couple questions:
1. Are there any fanfics out there with a similar premise? If so, what are they called and where can I find them?
Yes, I made a similar one
here.
2. What would be good names for a blood elf death knight and a tauren death knight? (their current names are Khaos and Trekk, respectively)
I think those are great names!
3. How long would it take for forces such as the Argent Crusade to respond to the new Scourge threat? What might their initial reaction be (other than "kill the undead")?
The Argent Crusade would probably respond within hours of the first attack. They would probably fortify their bases and rush to the defense of the besieged.
4. Would the dragons be able to enter the conflict? I'm not talking about Wyrmrest Accord-level of dragon intervention, just a handful of dragons (for example, I'm pretty sure
Valithria Dreamwalker
would have a bone to pick with the Scourge).
It wouldn't surprise me.
5. Is it possible for Frostmourne to make a reappearance? If so, how would it be reforged?
In my opinion, I think anyone could reforge Frostmourne; but it would simply be a sword. It would take a Dreadlord to return it to it's former potency.
6. Are there still Venture Co. goblins in Grizzly Hills?
Not sure; but probably not.
7. Regarding the point made above, what would Bolvar be able to do to stop or impede Bloodblade's progress, if anything?
Bolvar can talk to his undead telepathically, including Death Knights (As seen in their start zone.) But if your undead broke away completely, Bolvar might only be able to take over a few of the lesser undead. (Question; why would these Scourge rebel against the Lich King anyway?)
8. Would the living nerubians be able to enter the conflict, or are there too few of them remaining for them to risk it?
That would be a very bad idea for them.
9. Seeing as the Zandalari have been seen helping the Gurubashi and Amani tribes reclaim their old stomping grounds, would they be able/willing to do the same with the Drakkari?
Yes as we saw Drakkari on the Isle of Thunder.
10. Are there any other organizations with enough power to try and stand up against the new Scourge?
I think that some of Northrend's races would stand up to the Scourge this time around. (The Vyrkul, Kal'uak, Kalvidar, Sons of Hodir, Earthen, Harpies, Snobolds.)

1. Are there any fanfics out there with a similar premise? If so, what are they called and where can I find them?Hundreds of them, far too many to name.
3. How long would it take for forces such as the Argent Crusade to respond to the new Scourge threat? What might their initial reaction be (other than "kill the undead")?Instantaneous, since the Crusade is still watching Icecrown along with the Knights of the Blade.
5. Is it possible for Frostmourne to make a reappearance? If so, how would it be reforged? No, since from what it's been referenced in Sylvanas leader story, Tirion took the pieces away.
10. Are there any other organizations with enough power to try and stand up against the new Scourge?Any of the Northrend forces, since any broken free new Scourge would be a tiny force, easy to be wiped out.
Also, the Ebon Blade broke free because of the intervention of the Ashbringer. The idea of yours(just like all of the others) is probably the same vein as Sylvanas, who escaped during a weakening of the Lich King's power back in the Frozen Throne era...but since Blizzard out right said that all of the Scourge are being controlled by Bolvar, just like they were by the Lich King, the chance is a lot lower.

5. Is it possible for Frostmourne to make a reappearance? If so, how would it be reforged?
It is definitely possible since it has been stated the pieces have been taken away and not destroyed. The important thing to note is that Frostmourne, for all its might, is just the first among equals - or, from another viewpoint, every vampiric runeblade the death knights wield is a weaker version of Frostmourne. Thus, reforging it is not out of the question for an elite member of the Scourge.
We do not actually know what metal Frostmourne is made of, so the first guess would be using whichever happens to be the most 'powerful' metal your death knight can get their hands on. Primordial Saronite, Titansteel, perhaps Enchanted Elementium?
3. How long would it take for forces such as the Argent Crusade to respond to the new Scourge threat? What might their initial reaction be (other than "kill the undead")?
One only needs to look as near as the Plaguelands with the Argent Crusade sitting on their hands doing nothing about the Forsaken doing progressively more questionable things.
Besides, Tirion has probably taken Bolvar's words to heart - which means that only a handful of individuals will actually know there is a new Lich King. To them, it would all be stragglers.

1. Are there any fanfics out there with a similar premise? If so, what are they called and where can I find them?
Yes.
2. What would be good names for a blood elf death knight and a tauren death knight? (their current names are Khaos and Trekk, respectively)
Look at some npc and find something that fits their races, or use the help of a name generator. And for their surname, the easiest is a combination of two words, those words can be their original family name, often refering to something from their racial culture (Plainswalker, Brightleaf) or their undeath. (Doomwalker, Blightleaf)
3. How long would it take for forces such as the Argent Crusade to respond to the new Scourge threat? What might their initial reaction be (other than "kill the undead")?
A few days or so? The argents have logicaly some eye on the undeads in Northrend and elsewhere in the world. And thier reaction would be to kill undeads and the undead overlords.
4. Would the dragons be able to enter the conflict? I'm not talking about Wyrmrest Accord-level of dragon intervention, just a handful of dragons (for example, I'm pretty sure Valithria Dreamwalker would have a bone to pick with the Scourge). Dragons don't seem to act on minor mortal afairs. Reds are pacifists. Greens are not. If Yesera was captured instead of Alexstraza in the second war the greens would genoside on the orcs, in theory. (Kraus did burn a army of undeads in twilight of the dragon. But wasn't initaly supposed to. IIRC)
5. Is it possible for Frostmourne to make a reappearance? If so, how would it be reforged? Blizzard may have a plot with that thing and no one from azeroth knows the metal or spells on it. (As seen with the demon-bane sword chain, that the smelting of the metal removes the spell.)
I wouln't bother using it.
6. Are there still Venture Co. goblins in Grizzly Hills? Why wouln't they?
7. Regarding the point made above, what would Bolvar be able to do to stop or impede Bloodblade's progress, if anything? The cult of the damned roam free. And Bolvar is in his ice, unable to do anything.
8. Would the living nerubians be able to enter the conflict, or are there too few of them remaining for them to risk it? Too few, maybe if the conflict would come to Azol-nerub.
9. Seeing as the Zandalari have been seen helping the Gurubashi and Amani tribes reclaim their old stomping grounds, would they be able/willing to do the same with the Drakkari?
Yes, as seen in Throne of Thunder.
10. Are there any other organizations with enough power to try and stand up against the new Scourge? Pleanty. Horde, alliance, Argents (lolbringer) and the burning legion (Illidan was sent by Kil'jaeden to kill the Lick King.)
Hope it helps.

Instantaneous, since the Crusade is still watching Icecrown along with the Knights of the Blade.
Says who? Last I heard, they moved back to the Plaguelands to watch Sylvanas. We've seen no lore source saying that they'd stay in Icecrown.
And for that matter, we've seen no confirmation that the Ebon Blade are hanging around in Icecrown either.

Why would they? The Ebon blade does worse things than the Forsaken.
From Their Corpses, Rise!
They wouldn't watch intensly, the scourge is something that would watch more intensly.

It says in the Ultimate Visual Guide that their current job is to watch Sylvanas, and all their new quests are in the Plaguelands.

Not like Blizzard updated northrend in the cataclysm....
We can not say for sure what's up in Northrend.
We can't assume for example that the entire Drakkari tribe left northrend in 5.0-2
It says in the Ultimate Visual Guide that their current job is to watch Sylvanas
Sounds dull, as Sylvanas and the Forsaken haven't done anything since 4.0. They did make a small aperance in 5.4

If they've been specifically stated to be doing something new, I think we can assume what they're doing. It would be more logical for them to focus their entire efforts, instead of splitting needlessly.
All of this (beyond them watching Sylvanas) is pure speculation, of course.

Two factions are just watching the Forsaken rather than ganking scourge?

There aren't a lot of Scourge left. On top of that, Tirion knows that Bolvar is the new Lich King, so he can assume that Bolvar will keep the Scourge in check.

The ones with higher inteligance (Death Knights, Val'kyr, Liches, Cult of the Damned and Bone Drakes etc) can break free. Thats how Sylvie got 9 desus ex machinima on wings.
And isn't the lich king the mind of two, and just a mater of time before Ner'zhul get's back in controll.
Ignoring the scourge in northrend is just a bad idea. Well not like we IRL are any beter. We usualy leave once we killed the evil dictator and then the nation suffer from chaos and another dictator comes up. Or something like that.

Speaking of scourge, howya think ghostlands fare?

True. In relative terms, the Scourge are much weaker than they were before. Undoubtedly they could cause problems if left unchecked, but Bolvar has control over them.

The Cult and Liches never seemed to be under direct control. They gave themselves willingly.
And isn't the lich king the mind of two, and just a mater of time before Ner'zhul get's back in controll.
In his book, Arthas destroyed Ner'zhul completely. By the time Wrath rolls around, the Lich King is purely Arthas's personality and mind.

They're not being ignored if Bolvar keeps them in check.
Note that I'm not saying they CAN'T be there, I'm just saying that there's no way to tell. We know for a fact that they're watching Sylvanas, but nothing else. Could they be in Icecrown? Sure.
But we don't have any evidence.

And yet there was conflict within Arthas, according to the game. 3.3 came out after the book, so it takes precedence. It has been stated that Arthas destroyed Ner'zhul, but we cannot really say for sure. Was Arthas struggling against himself then?

Blizzard said that there was an uncorrupted bit of Arthas that was holding the Scourge back. I imagine that's what he was struggling against.

And yet in the book he stabs his 'humanity' as well as Ner'zhul. If one survived, the other could, too.

I suppose it's possible.
Though, if I remember correctly, Arthas said that he had consumed Ner'zhul and that there was nothing left, while he merely stabbed his humanity.
