Legendary Cloak Confusion
Return to board index
Hey guys, I recently started playing wow again (after siege was released) and I would like to get as many people as possible in my guild their cloak.
However every guide I look up is pretty convoluted and not straight forward.
For example here is a guide I was about to start following:
However on other guides it says you need Exalted status with the Black Prince / you need to clear all of the quests at every rep to get the cloak quest.
If someone would like to sum up the path to get the cloak that would be amazing. Thank you!
All you need to know:
Mists of Pandaria's Legendary Questline
You need to go through the entire quest line, completing each of the chapters.
I would say about 3 months overall.
EDIT: The guide you posted seems to just be covering part of the final chapter.
The first step requires Honored, then a later step (you'll only reach that after a few weeks) requires Revered, and later on, but still before the end, you need Exalted.
However, farming reputation is easy: basically, kill Mogu and Zandalari on the
Isle of Thunder
. Having one of the
helps as well.
Certain subzones (I can only recommend the central area with
s) have a very good respawn rate, so you don't have to leave the 100y radius of the Standard (if you leave it, the Standard despawns)
Since you're apparently talking about several people,
form groups for reputation grinding
. The Standards affect all players from the same guild, and by spreading out a bit, you can cover larger ground while all members of the group receive reputation gains.
During the cloak questline, there will be quests where you will need to get to various levels of reputation with Wrathion (The Black Prince).
Once you have the first legendary quests started, you can start to get as much of the rep as you want without having to wait for subsequent quests (you can get to exalted right away if you want to do the grind all at once, and perhaps then seek counseling :-D ).
There are 3 sources for that rep:
Killing mogu and rares in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms zone (up to honored);
killing opposing faction (Alliance/Horde) mobs in Krassarang Wilds (up to revered),
or killing mobs on the Isle of Thunder (no cap).
Personally, I like going after the Vale of Eternal Blossoms mobs (especially the rares), until reaching honored with Wrathion, because they also reward Golden Lotus rep for every kill. I generally don't bother with Krassarang Wilds and instead then focus on Isle of Thunder where I do the daily quests and kill rares to get both valor and Kirin Tor Offensive/Sunreaver Assault reputation, in addition to Wrathion reputation (from honored to exalted).
You will need to do the "opening" quests for Krassarang Wilds and Isle of Thunder to be able to get through the legendary quests. You don't need to do the scenarios for Krassarang, but you will have to do a few of the one-off solo-scenarios for Isle of Thunder.
but you will have to do a few of the one-off solo-scenarios for Isle of Thunder.
Actually, you only need to do those (and all of them) if you want access to the dailies, but otherwise, after the initial quest sending you to your faction's ship, you can roam around the island freely, no phasing except for the area where your faction would set up their base after the first scenario. Completing that first one is of course helpful to have a better access to the island (especially if you don't have an
Azure Water Strider
edit as as stumbled upon this thread again:
even on the respective ships, there is a teleporter onshore)
