Some Wow1 and Wow2 Nonsense - please help?
Return to board index
I have a past battle.net account that is fully upgraded, but has been frozen since last January. I've started playing WoW again, but will not be able to start the monthly subscription for another couple weeks, in the meantime, i'm wondering if it's even worth it to add the starter account to the same battle.net account, and play the trial until i can upgrade.
I know that usually when switching characters between WoW1 and 2, there is a required paid character transfer, however i'm not willing to pay $25 for a character under 20 anyway.
I also know that if you start a brand new account with only starter and upgrade that account, that you can keep all the trial characters on the fully upgraded account and continue to level past 20.
SO my question is;
If i create and play a starter account on the same master account, let's call it WoW2, will my trial characters move to the upgraded, call it WoW1 when i begin the subscription? or will they stay on the trial, WoW2, regardless?
I'd love to be able to play a couple characters to 20 using the trial restrictions and limitations until i can upgrade, but if they'll be stuck on a trail account, or cost $25 each to move, i won't think it's worth it.
The trial characters will stay on the trial account unless you pay to transfer them to the main account.
It's worth it if you upgrade.
I did the same a while back, it's always useful to have toons you can use to transfer stuff between factions via the neutral AH.
Something you can't do on one account but can do with 2.
Just remember that you have to pay for both separately.
To add to this, characters on the separate licenses (WoW1 and WoW2) will remain on these different licenses, and would not be consolidated into a singular license unless the
character transfer service
was engaged. Please keep in mind that a WoW license must first be upgraded to a full version before a transfer can be purchased. Hope that helps!
