Silly question regaurding parts of characters names?
Return to board index
So im new to wowhead and just returning to WOW after a year or so- what can I say, I cant stay away. Anyway, ive noticed that charcters sometimes seem to have realms in their name? Like
Or ill see something like
Defense of order - name - realm
What im asking, is what are all these different parts to the basic name? I understand titles and guilds in names but how am I playing with others from different realms? Or am I? What is going onnnnnn in modern day wow? Haha thanks in advance for your help, and im sorry if I posted wrong or in the wrong place, like I said, never used wowhead until now. :)
When you see someone with a -Lightbringer after their name, it is due to cross realm zones or connected realms.
CRZ was added to make the old zones look more full. Some people hate it, some people love it.
CR is a virtual merging of 2 or more servers. They did this to prevent characters from having to rename.
when you join any group you are transfered to either the realm of the group leader or if more people in same group are from same realm you will be transfered to their realm.
I cant add these players as my friends or send them mail or anything though, right?
you can add them via battle tag.
As for mail, you would have to find out if it was a CRZ (No) or a CR (yes).
Alright thats what I was thinking. Thanks guys :)
