[RAF] Granted levels mechanic
Return to board index
Hello, everyone. I just want to be sure that I understood this thing right.
As said in support article (
For every two levels the recruit's characters earn, one grantable level is gained. Recruit characters may then grant these levels to the veteran player's character as long as the character is lower in level than the level-granting character.
I boosted my Recruit friend to 85 and according to this article I have 42 levels to grant. Can I use this levels on my 42 level character to get him to 84? Or maybe I can wait until my friend hits 90 and get my character from 45 to 89? That would be awesome.
Thanks in advance.
I think granting levels only works up to level 85.. The FAQ is unclear there, but I doubt you could go from 45 to the current maximum level.

To be clear your friend has 42 levels to grant, not you.
He can grant you levels to bring you up to level 85 but not beyond it, and he cannot grant levels to you that would take your character to any level higher than he is on. The granted levels can be split between characters.
You could have the entire 42 levels granted to your level 42 character to take him to level 84, or you could split those granted levels up between characters. A lot of people go this route. They will level two characters up to 59 and take half the levels (21) on each character to avoid Outland and Northrend, skipping on to Cata content.
You can be bumped up to level 85, but not higher, and you cannot be bumped up to a higher level than your recruited friend. If the bump would take your character to level 85 then your friend must be level 86.
