Frost DK keybinding/action bars layout help?
Return to board index
So i'm just wondering what the best/works the best keybinding and action bars layout for frost dk in pvp is. I'll put a picture or link of what I have atm and if people could criticise and tell me how to switch it around or post what theirs looks like that would be great. Thanks.
Apparently i can't post links yet, but if people would still like to post what they have that would be awesome. Thanks.
No such thing as best.
Only best suited to particular individual or more or less optimal.
You want all the frequent abilities keybound this way so you can freely move around and turn your camera while using them. You want your fast reaction abilities bound close and your cds can be bound further away yet still accessible.
Here is one of many keybinds guide available on the net:
Shortcut bar itself can be moved or reshaped by using certain addons, so its organisation doesnt matter really.
The bottom numbers are from a Razer Naga.
This is probably a non-ideal setup but it's an idea. I failed the part about not using 1-4 from Zkkhar's video. I'll hopefully get around to changing it soon.
1-5 are probably ok, 6+ not so much.
What i dont understand in your setup is that you have Icy Touch and Howling Blast on separate base binds. Only reason to ever use Icy touch as frost is if you want to dispel something or AOE is prohibited at the time. I have these two bound together, no mod does blast, mod does icy touch.
If you find your keybinds hard to use then you need to change them!
I use 1 2 3 4 5 for spells such as death grip, chains if ice and other CD's!
Q E R F Z X C and T for main attacks oblit, frost strike, howling blash ect! Which I find best for myself to move around a target holding my right mouse button and using q and e to move sideways also rotating the mouse to move in a circle!
I dont use any addon to change my bars I find it easier without one!
But everyone plays different you have to figure out what you feel comfortable with!
