And now for something completely different... I shall not brag about my win nor shall I show you an awesome deck. I shall show you how stupid a clutch loss can be...
In the Arena playing the first match - versus a Warrior. Held back, slowly taking some damage and burning down his minions. I am saving my
for the end. Going pretty close, he throws them
and I burn him down. He his almost within grasp, throws down
. I freeze him three times, slowly doing damage. I thrown down
. Next turn I have him I will have him on 11 HP. Time for the coup de grace... All excited I swing the
at a minion he just summoned. Grom attacks, GG. Facepalm ensues.
I once didn't kill an opponent at 2 HP so I could kill off some of his minions next turn, thought I was safe at 11 HP. I wasn't.
first time playing with my shaman deck, really bad starting hand.
opponent slightly more luck, but just not enough too finish me off. near the end i manage too get a bunch of cards on the field amongst which was a
. it didnt die but i ended up drawing my deck empty (for te very first time :o).
then i accidently let a minion of my die in an exchange while
was still up and i drew another 1damage taken for having no more cards.
which caused me too die on the 4th turn with no cards ending on a perfect 0 health. was so pissed off when that happend, cause i could have finished the game there and won.
I think this post would have been better in the General thread...
My opinion though is that you should have used your pyro on the Grommash and gotten rid of it. I mean, did you not have anything else to rely on to get that last 10 health down?
My stupidest loss was with priest versus mage. Was good long match. In the end mage had 2hp and i had like 12 hp. I had 1 minion 2
s with only 1 card remaining in my deck.
Then i used
forgetting enemy mage used arcane explosion last turn.
So i get 15 fatigue damage for 5 cards.
I did not have too many allies in that deck, he had board advantage most of the time and I used most spells to kill off his minions. It was still a struggle to keep him from buffing his armor too much. Grommash was summoned at a point that almost any minion could kill me quickly.
Was playing a warrior. I don't remember exactly, but I guess the opponent had like 10 to 12 HP, and I had something less. He had board control. My big plan was to use my saved cards: 2x
Everything was going well, I played those cards, but just after that I realized I used my last weapon's last durability to beat off his Taunter (i.e. I had attacked with my hero this turn). There goes three cards as a fart in the air and his minions beat the life out Garrosh.. :P It was little frustrating.
