Items - Item Page - Date of last verified drop
Return to board index
I'm not sure if the client captures this information or if this has been proposed in some other form in the past. I searched, but found nothing.
What I'd be looking for would be the date of the last verified drop of an item. For brevity, this would be listed in the main section of the item's page and not on each creature page where the item could be listed (it would add a column to the creature page and only a line of text on the Item page).
Ex.: Let's say someone finally gets
Flawless Greater Windroc Beak
(notorious for having RNG problems) on May 5th, 2013. The client grabs the info, feeds it to the DB, and the DB feeds it to the page compiler with a line - "Last known drop May 5th, 2013".
This could also lead to an auto-outdate feature where if something hasn't dropped in a certain amount of time it can be "soft-flagged" for review by a really dedicated member of your crew. As an adjunct, it would also point toward out-dated, deprecated, or obsolete quests.
Something like this
has been suggested
a few times before. It was definitely active as of a few years ago, but I haven't seen it in a while - not sure whether it's been removed, or perhaps folks are just using the Wowhead Client more widely.
TY for that link. Looks like every couple of years this comes up. Wonder what it was that made it go away between your last suggestion and now?
I would also find this to be helpful.
